happy days.
i prevaricated for an age on which one to purchase, and i really like the look of the lentis in posts above, but this full slip is
divine. amazing edition of a true masterpiece.
bit late to the party, but i like this release so much had to still post some pics
, so for those interested in ‘what’s in the box?,’ unboxing below, or
just the photos here on the album.

also sealed. added expectation in opening!
sealed shot of the back and the
sticker:
ok, get it unsealed and you begin to see the amount of detail they’ve invested in this. on the beauty shots, the front cover of the full slip looked a bit plain. but open, it’s a real zinger.
the rich red foil title, the thick spot varnish for the
star’s names, the small, subtle
bossing around the
hat and
police badge, awesome:
this continues on the
spine, and onto the very
heavily treated back. spot varnish, bossing, overlays - fill yer boots
:
i rarely care too much about what number i get, but seriously -
what are the chances of getting this number for this release?

here’s is the
main artwork for the three key aspects of this release and the
creds:
get to the
steelbook and it’s a beaut.

the
title bossing is nice, but i actually love the seven
debossed slashes, all the more as i was totally not expecting it
:
the
back artwork is good and reminds me of the start of the film:
opened up and the
inside art is possibly a little dull, but ok:
the
envelope (containing the character cards) continues the lovely effect on the back of the full slip and the red foil again - lovely continuity in design
:
John Doe’s notebook is the
booklet, and it’s a good one, with brief discussions on the film, setting, actors and director:
and this is
everything you get.

there’s a lot of love on this thread for the lentis, but for me the FS is the winner.
