I 2nd this, think of all the money we save by getting in on GB's for steels which otherwise may have to be eBay purchases for 2x/3x the original price. £16 is a small sum to pay to say thank you for all of that, plus you get the benefits outlined in the "Become A Ninja" thread.

Needless to say, becoming a Ninja pays itself back very very quickly.

I wonder how many of these members have decided to "help the site out" and become Ninjas since this has been announced lol. I guess im going to go ahead and pull the trigger now to up my chances of getting this (been thinking about it but never got around to it). And not getting beat out by non-active members with 1-30 post who have decided re-up their accounts just to get this and disappear again. Im all for new members and stuff but this war for an HDN excl.

I hope the hierarchy of availability is fair but im sure it will be knowing the great staff of HDN. Ninja vs. non-Ninja, 30 post vs. 100's vs. 1000's. Cant wait for the news 500 should be enough for everyone though if its limited to one per member.

Can't even begin to speculate what it could be, my brain has gone all fuzzy. Would love it if the artwork was designed by a HDN member, would make it that little bit more special, plus some of the customs I've seen from HDN members are amazing.

i gotta say i think the requirements for getting one of these should be strict but fair. not simply a case of be a ninja, or 30 posts.

As has been pointed out, if you buy the membership you instantly qualify for group buys and other areas of the forum that normally have restrictions on them (eg no. of posts)

if buying a ninja membership is all thats required what'll happen is loads will join the site buy the membership just to get one of these then sell it instantly, as lets face it this will have value, so people will take advantage anyway they can. and £16 is a small price towards a massive profit.

I think qualifying should be restricted to those who've been on the site a certain amount of time (eg 3+ months) that way you can say for certain those who get one have been contributing to the site for a while rather then just joining just to get this, just to sell on.

since this has been announced this forum has been flooded with new people asking about bypassing restrictions by purchasing a ninja membership. there are plenty of users on here who aren't "ninja's" but have contributed to the site through bringing in new members and ordering through the site i dont think these kind of people should miss out to people who've suspiciously joined up around the time this was announced.

Equally though, the monetary contribution is sometimes equally as important - taking server and hosting costs into consideration. There isn't really a 'fair' way to do anything, someone will always be upset.
