All that matters to me is that the next exclusive isn't a garbage film like After Earth! Maybe DB should look into that idea of different covers for Pacific Rim. Maybe just full slipcovers with different Kaiju/Jaegers. Oh and 3d. Just a thought

I actually don't really mind to be honest. If that's what people want to pay then so be it, I could of easily put a silly price on it and stuck to my guns, but then that's not really me.

I didnt get this exclusive for many reasons but imo i find it disrespective to the forum to see listings on ebay.

This is for members to collect not to make a bloody profit off surely.

I completely agree - this is one that doesn't deserve to be sold, the only reason we have chance to buy it is because we support the forum and it was something provided back to us in exchange for that support.

We should have a poll of potential movie choices short listed by the HDN staff so the community can decide not sure of that was the way it was done first time round as I missed a lot of the chatter at the concept stage

Yes, we support the forum and will continue to do so. What people then want to do with their goods is entirely up to them though. Not everyone is out to make a profit either (granted, some people are), and you don't know the circumstances surrounding their decision to sell at the end of the day.

I know enough that people using eBay are generally trying to profit from it. I find it disrespectful and to be honest quite insulting that people are trying to sell this - especially elsewhere rather than to members of the forum.

Yeh, i think the GB is still open... Wreck did say before the 1st GB that members are free to do what they want with their copies, we don't complain when we see a blufans release on ebay, so why is it any different with this...?

My personal opinion is that i would never sell mine, i love it and will keep it sealed, others will open theirs, or sell it because they don't like the extras etc. There are any numbrr of factors as to why someone would want to sell it, it could simply because they don't like it, or they don't like the film, or that they are having a clearout of films for again any number of reasons.

I don't complain when i see one on ebay, it is that members copy, and they paid for it, which entitles them to do with it whatever thay want, however i don't condone selling for a profit, but that clearly was not the reason for this particular recent ebay sale as it only sold for nearly half the price we paid...

Anyway, back on topic, this is one of the best steels for extras, i mean T2 Kimchi is amazing, but an enveloped postcard set compared to a magnet, enveloped postcard, and numbered metal card is almost uncompareable

Generally they are, that's true but there are exceptions. I did have it for sale on the forum for a couple of weeks. Due to my circumstances, I needed to sell a few steels as soon as poss, hence putting them up for auction after they didn't sell here.

That's a little bit like buying two cars, one to drive and enjoy and one to sit in the garage and do nothing and only be seen by you. There were no rules when buying these, and wreck made it clear you can do what you want with them. My opinion is if I need to sell one to make space or if I need some extra cash then let someone else buy it and enjoy it.

Your car analogy is strange, although still applies. People actually do that, and more so in the luxury brand (in which I work and see examples every day).

Mine's on ebay at the moment. I bought 2 copies, I got one with the green/yellow numbered slip and the other more basic one.

After receiving them both I realised that I really don't need two. Especially when the coloured slip version looks so much better than the other. So I put the basic one on ebay instead of on here because there is still a GB for it here.

And one point I'd like to make clear is that if people were selling it for profit on ebay then surely they would put it as Buy It Now at a higher value than they purchased it for? I fail to see how starting an auction at 99p is selling for profit.

Edit: Also, it isn't insulting to HDN because we have already paid them for the product and for their time making it. Selling it and advertising it on ebay will surely only make more people aware of HDN, attracting more people to become Ninja's and ultimately earning the website more money.

Very good point and that's another way to think about it.

I personally don't take offense to anyone that is selling a copy or thinking about it.

The more people that see the effort and time that was put in by a number of members and staff here is only a good thing, and I think goes a long way to prove our ability to market a collectible and have a successful story that comes along with it. Having said that, #1 was the beginning and I believe many ninjas and staff here have bigger dreams and thoughts for #2.

Im gonna be selling my one soon as well

I bought it as I was collecting steels and to support the forum. I have now decided to give up collecting steels and sell them all.

Im gonna, well when I get round to it, sell them on this forum rather than ebay and will offer this at cost

so if I don't sell it on this forum and no longer collect steels, would I be wrong to sell it on ebay, as I would see no other alternative
