What i dont get, is its advertised at £16.99, and its a saving of £3.
How is it a saving of £3?? Has anyone EVER seen it advertised at £19.99. No, i dont think anyone has, so, it isn`t a saving of anything.
As a Zavvi exclusive, its not a saving of £3 off any other stores pricing, because no other store is selling it. So, why bother saying its a £3 saving???
Marketing??? Bull(cough) methinks.
Just saying!!! :hilarious:
You would rather them show the MSRP/RRP of 19.99 then what they charge at 16.99 so the 3.00 savings adds up? Does it really matter that they don't show it? Just saying that having that price on the screen won't really help out any...

What im saying is....Its £16.99. No savings. There is no MSRP/RRP, because the first price (only price) is £16.99. Surely, an RRP is for when lots of retailers are selling a product, and they want to undercut each other, so they use the RRP trick. Not when only one retailer is selling their exclusive product.
I spose if they said RRP £49.99, save £33, you would think its a better bargain, and buy 5 copies???? Haha.
BTW, i am only having fun with the selling techniques. Like when tv advertises a new movie as RRP £24.99 for a standard Blu Ray movie. NO-ONE has ever bought a Blu Ray for that price, but its advertised that way to make you think you got a bargain at £19.99. But you haven`t.
Just saying!!:hilarious:

What's the point of "debating" etymology when Wikipedia exists?

Probably becaause some of us prefer to think for ourselves, as opposed to relying on a bunch of self-appointed, self-righteous opinionated losers. JR

"The rules of association football were codified in England by the Football Association in 1863 and the name association football was coined to distinguish the game from the other forms of football played at the time, specifically rugby football.

Which is common knowledge - JR

The term soccer originated in England, first appearing in the 1880s as an Oxford "-er" abbreviation of the word 'association.'"

Which would be a great thing - only 'Soccer' is in no way an abbreviation of the word 'Association' - it is no more than a slang term - like 'rugger for instance.

Anyway, even if you accept it as anything less than slang, it is still not another term for football - is it?! JR

P.S. This movie has almost no redeeming qualities, and I hate myself for even considering for a millisecond of buying this in the future because of the steelbook.

As for the film, actually, I couldn't give a rat's . . . :) JR

How come we don't know if this will be glossy or not? I noticed other StudioCanal steelbooks have stated they will be glossy (The Graduate, The Pianist)...can we assume by lack of info it will be matt?

:wtf:

^ JackRegan...thanks for the tip re StudioCanal steelbooks

The assumption of been matte not definite if it does not say what the finish is
It hard to say with StudioCanal know one new Spinal Tap was going to be glossy

The only we find out 100% is when someone gets delivery

I like the majority of the StudioCanal Releases except the Rambo Steelbooks they were bit poor in my opinion

With recently them starting to do more glossy releases we might get some more even if its not listed in the description

Got mine and find it to be just ok... the gloss finish only just saves it imo. The back art is horrible though! What looked white/light orange in the mock-up image is actually metallic/silver on the real steel... it makes it look like the paint has worn away. Plus the image is really low-res. I'm half tempted to send it back to be honest.
