So was a new disc authored then?

The English Dolby Atmos track wasn't included on the previous Czech release. Or was the original info on the J-card wrong?
The whole thing is confusing because as you point out original Czech disc did not have Atmos audio. We really need definitive info about whether this is a reauthored disc or wrong information on FA website.

It's clearly been reauthored, just go look at the bitrate charts, frame size charts etc. they're different.
FilmArena blu-ray frame size vs regular blu-ray frame size.

Details for FilmArena Blu-ray: http://www.film-arena.cz/recenze/blu-ray-sicario-najemny-vrah-steelbook-filmarena-collection-1
Dolby Atmos English, DTS-HD 5.1 Czech.
English, English for Hard of Hearing and Czech subtitles.

Details for Regular Blu-ray: http://www.film-arena.cz/recenze/blu-ray-sicario-najemny-vrah
DTS-HD 5.1 English/Czech.
Only Czech subtitles.

The FilmArena Blu-ray also contains a trailer that the regular blu-ray release does not.
In addition, Carllenc confirmed the inclusion of an English dolby atmos track not included in the regular blu-ray.

A package worthy of the film... This will be my second FA purchase, having already got The Martian (Numbered)... Hope the finish on this beauty is just as good

'Remastered' is not the proper word here. There is just one main master of this movie.

Old disc: AVC 28.985 kbps
New Dolby Atmos disc: AVC 26.682 kbps

The older disc has a higher bitrate. But it is so small, you will not notice it. But on the audio side you will hear the difference. :)

I only wonder if the Spanish parts have the orgininal English subs, like the UK/US disc?

Sounds like we are talking about re-encoded transfer (different bit rate) and reauthored disc (different subtitle options).

As the Sicario FAC item description specifies English and English SDH subtitles, I would assume that at least the English SDH subtitles would be on for the duration of the film. With subtitles off, there could be English subtitles on by default just for the Spanish dialogue (would make a lot of sense).

But I guess we can only speculate about the subtitles until we get a clarification from FilmArena :dunno:
