the problem with hdn these days is that people are so narrow minded. and completely crippled from a creative standpoint.

i applaud the decision to create a design that references the style of both the movie and the comic it spawned from. if you came into this hoping to see jessica alba slapped on the cover you enjoy this film for the wrong reasons. and i'm glad you dont wana buy it , because those who do, will buy it appreciating the film and its heritage.

That's a fair comment. If I'd read the graphic novel then maybe I'd be into this a bit more. I know that if Kick-Ass or Scott Pilgrim got re-releases with original artwork taken from the source material then I'd be all over it.

Maybe if it was an original drawing of Marv (as played by Mickey Rourke) by Frank Miller then it might be better. Kinda like how Mark Simpson did The Walking Dead steels. Original art, in the graphic novel's style, of the human counterparts.

Awwwww. So disappointed. Bad choice of art and the crop is awful, whoever the designer is, isn't very good. I wouldn't be trusting them with future steelbook art.

They seem to be picking artwork that gives them the cheapest finishing option ie no more than 3 colours (possibly less - just black & tiny bit of red if the white is silver) No title again either. I'll be sticking with my Canadian/German hybrid steel thank you very much.

Creative, maybe but not in a good way at all in my book, I look at that and it seem like a miss match does not represent the film are any of the characters. Out of touch for this steelbook release, I am being very kind (Catastrophic). It will sell out none the less, between all those scaplers and the die hard collectors who can't resist a low print run.

very interesting art. My fav edition is the US one but I will get this as I think it will be fun to have my brother-in-law do some coloring too. I'll post pics when that happens.

I guess fans of the comic will also be happy with this.

Too closely cropped but otherwise I'm pretty impressed with the choice Zavvi have gone for.
I was expecting to see either Jessica Alba or Rosario Dawson grace the cover, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see that they have gone with art from the comic.

Jessica Alba has to be on the back or inside

I will wait till I see all of the artwork
Front Artwork not the best but could still be a good steelbook depending on back and inside artwork

It still needs to have both Discs or its a waste of metal in my opinion

Be cool if it came with a booklet as in comic

With limited coloring Markers with Jessica Alba on them :hilarious:
Or better she came with the Steelbook in Person :D

i for one love it, with so many hating it it should be an easy pick up, but as usual everyone will moan about it but still buy 2 copies. i'm glad they are using some Miller artwork especially as the film has so many shots lifted directly from the comic (and i say comic as i hate the term graphic novel) much prefer this to the Canadian one i just bought, so will be getting rid of that for this
