People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Ha, one without a tshirt went for £125 - many around £40 and a few around the £50 to £60 mark.
Worth noting none which have spine slash mentioned have yet sold - I'd hate for mine to turn up damaged but if it does, so be it.
No way am I spending 4 times the value I got it from Amazon on a minty fresh copy.

I had problems with my US disc but as soon as i updated the firmware it played. Pisses me of because I realized it was the same problem for taken 2. These are the only 2 disc that have never played for me and UNTIL them i had NEVER updated my firmware. Good luck tho.

Got my Skyfall steel book blu ray today in post from Amazon- no scratches on cover like other people have been reporting, HOWEVER...

IT WILL NOT PLAY!!

The 20th century fox screen appears then the screen just goes black and NOTHING happens!!

I have a pioneer bdp 51fd playing the disc. The player is up to date re firmware and it plays every other disc that i have. I have found some other reports on US sites that it will not play.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

Why the f**k are people paying £40 for them when the German and French versions can be had for much less.

Buy the French versions that comes with cards and if the UK ones means that much to you, just wait patiently. If it doesn't comes back into stock, then you've still got a Skyfall steelbook.
