Former HMV exclusive:
***Several members have stated that per HMV, pre-orders have been cancelled.

Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

HMV now in administration said:
People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

There was an article in London Metro newspaper about Skyfall breaking UK pre-order records at amazon.co.uk. So it looks like the Steelbook is really sold out and might come back in stock only if Fox decides to do another run.

Review of the US disc is up and it is Region Free.

The thing is when you take into account that the movie is currently at 7th in the 'all time box office' worldwide chart, just behind LOTR:Return of the King. It kind of makes sense why it could sell out.

I liked the film but I'm not a massive fan of it. If you put Casino Royale against this, for me there would be no contest but that's just my opinion. Casino Royales box office figures pale into insignificance when compared to SkyFalls.

Am I the only one not seeing what all the fuss is about this?

Yeah, it's OK, but nothing special. I'm sure E-bay will be flooded with these at bargain prices in a few months. Just my opinion :movie:

Keeps coming back in stock, but when I click add to basket or buy with one click, it dissapears, is this normal? It keeps saying that it's no longer available

You just have to be patient and keep trying. It took me almost half an hour of re-adding it to my basket until it finally worked.

This worked for me: Set up your 1-click purchasing on Amazon, and you don't have to go through loads of screens before you actually purchase the item - you get it then and there. Then if you want to change the shipping etc to free super saver delivery, you have 30 minutes after the purchase to do so.

After the nightmare of finally adding it to the basket, then choosing location for delivery, then which card to use and then trying to pay, only to find out in those few seconds that someone else snatched it out of your hands, this worked a treat.

Good luck!

I take it you live in the UK? Because Free Super Saver Delivery internationally only works for prices over 25 pounds.

Or is it possible to add items to a 1-order click order within 30 minutes after ordering? Since Skyfall is 15 pounds, that would be needed.

Now offered by affiliated merchants only. When that happens it usually means they won't be getting any more stock.

I thought so too, but it's not true in this case. It's still Amazon.co.uk for the normal price, even when you click on the affiliated merchants-page - the system is just being messed up. It pops up in stock every other hour or so.
