Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Received mine today.
It has the thin blue scratch on the spine, but tbh it's nothing major to me.
However, mine wasn't shrink wrapped when i thought it would be as it's a new product.
I've also emailed Fox as to why the dvd is NTSC not PAL, Again no big deal, just curious.

That would definitely be interesting. I'm also sure Amazon wouldn't go for a 4k run but it would explain why all the Fox titles are going so quickly on their site.

Possibly, but Amazon may have been reluctant to take the whole print run and so some copies could've been allocated elsewhere (Australia, France, Germany etc). Of course I am only speculating but it is a possibility.

I did wonder about that, so I've emailed them back. I don't really want to send it back as like I said it's nothing major, but if they offer me anything off because of this even better.

The print run may be 8,000, but how many of those are not dented, slashed and have blue lines? This Steelbook seems to have a much higher damage/faulty factor than others recently.

I preordered the .de version. Is there any difference between this one and that one?

I believe the main difference is that it only comes with the blu-ray disc, no DVD or Digital Copy.

The other key difference is in the languages available in soundtrack/subtitles, listed as German, English, French, and Turkish. J-card is of course in german.

As far as I know, the actual steelbook itself is standard worldwide.
