Just got an email from yesasia, saying that they are awaiting there allocated stock of this to arrive from Japan. Which should be by tomorrow according to them. Then they will be dispatching my pre order I placed 2 months ago for this Beauty... :oohyeah:

I don't know if there's any way to tell apart from maybe a bit of extra weight and listening for the sound of them moving inside. I believe only a very few copies shipped with them (very early pre-orders?), so you would be lucky to get one.

Well that doesn't seem fair :hilarious:

They might even find that they have one of the copies that shipped with the postcard set. Very rare apparently.

Unfortunately YA sold out of this title on pre-order quite a while ago. I'd be surprised if they got more.

i know but i preordered it. Status says "Waiting for Stock We have ordered your item from a local or overseas supplier and are waiting for it to be delivered to our warehouse"

Yes, the cards come wrapped separately from the steelbook, and seem to be a very limited pre-order bonus.

ebay is your friend. Value of Asian steels are gradually dropping. Anyone denying this should be living in a dream world. I am yet to see Skyfall Asian steel sell for higher price but the UK one did especially prior to the restocking by amazon.

I have seen at least half a dozen of the Skyfall Taiwan sell for $40 which is lower than getting from JSDVD or yesasia.

That might be the case with some Asian steels. But try and get a mint copy of Iron Sky JP on eBay for less than £100.00. And there are also quite a few other asian steels holding and increasing in value. Thor JP being another!!

I think this version of Skyfall will end up being the one to have and will hold its value as well. Only time will tell how it fares in value & rarity.

Agreed but Thor is a highly sought after Steelbook irrespective of the country and Iron Sky is somewhat exclusive to Japan. With Skyfall the artwork is the same and I doubt if it go that high but as you said time will tell.

Btw, I already gone Iron Sky JP by simply failing to cancel it at amazon.jp.;)

I think the newer ones are definitely cheaper to pick up off the secondary market. The print runs of Taiwanese releases in particular seem to be larger these days, which makes it much easier to find a bargain.

The older rarities though show no sign of dropping in value (Cap America Tw, Thor Jp etc.) if anything they still seem to be on the rise. A new collector hoping to pick up all the main ones would have to have a pretty healthy bank balance. EEK!

I bet you are glad you forgot to cancel your order of Iron Sky now? :p

Glad I got mine as its defiantly a beauty!! :scat:
