The first two Kimchi exclusives I bought (Pianist and Rush) I had absolutely no problem buying them. This time I did. It's totally possible a couple hundred got through just fine like I did the other times. And not everyone buying them are collectors. For all you know, someone here could have had 20 friends in an office each buying one of each.

GUILTY!

Definitley not 100% impossible, as it seems like it has actually happened. 666 isn't that many to sell out. Even if it took everyone 10 minutes to order, they're all ordering at the same time, so it would still only take 10 minutes. It wouldn't take hours to sell out.

Also have to wonder how many are taken off the top before they are officially up for sale. Urbeenjammin got it through some contact of his. I'd imagine others have the same kind of backdoor access. Kimchi is a small company so I wouldn't think it would be too many, but who knows?

I totally intended to purchase but fell asleep 30 min before the preorder time:hilarious::emb:

Seems like kimchis servers were up to its usual shenanigans though so I might have saved myself some haeartache....at least thats what Im gonna tell myself. Was only a click away form ordering the full slip but couldnt do it as I only truly want the lenti. Oh well not too fussed. Its easy to get sold out steels these days

I have come to the conclusion that it is basically IMPOSSIBLE for the lenticular to have truly and legitimately sold out in 11 minutes.

11 minutes x 60 is 660 seconds. That means an average of one completed order every second for 11 minutes straight. There is no way that Snowpiercer can demand that kind of frenzy, especially when you consider that many people here report being able to order 1 of each or even 1 full + 1 lenti. It's not even possible to get all that into the cart and check out fast enough. And actually, the fastest you can possibly even go through the checkout process would take at least 30 seconds even if everything went smooth as butter. So the first order probably did not even complete until at least 1 minute after it went live.

In order to complete the order, you have to:

1. Refresh the item page to get the "add to cart" button
2. Add to cart.
3. Wait for "Cart add success" to appear
4. Click "Cart"
5. Click "Order now"
6. Click receiver info same all "yes" button
7. Click "Checkout"
8. Click payment method.. (Card, Paypal, etc)
9. Either enter card info or login to paypal
10. Confirm payment.

With Kimchi's servers moving at a snail's pace, it is 100% impossibile that 600+ collectors from around the world were able to accomplish all this to sell out that lenticular in 11 minutes.

I agree 100% with this.

I'm also not convinced the 1 per customer limit worked as i managed to order 2 full slips and 2 box sets without issue (1 of each for me and 1 or each for another member who couldn't make the release time).

I see there is a box set version for the digipack which comes with the full book & template. I wonder if you have to go with EMS for that version as well? Finger hovering very close on order button....:hilarious:

I wondered what they put in Type A the box at 65$, it weighs over 2000g, that is 4 x the weight of type b or c  Does anyone knows why it's so heavy it can't just be the book and box ???

To organize a group of 20 people to do that would be quite a daunting task. Can you imagine the logistics?

But suppose someone actually is crazy enough to do that. And suppose ALL 20 of their "friends" were able to successfully complete their order right overtop of everyone else who failed while trying earnestly all the same. Even if the entire office full of people made it and everyone clapped and popped open the bubbly and immediately took off all their clothes to celebrate.... :oohyeah: :ass::boobies::naughty:

that still leaves 646 more copies.

Meanwhile... jimmyv and his blazing fast high speed cable internet connection cannot even manage to get to checkout.

Makes no sense.

Could also be that some seconds nothing is ordered, and some other seconds more than 1 is ordered every second. So i believe it is possible.

Internet speed has nothing to do with it. I have 3mb down / 1mb up and I got them. It's just luck.

But now I'm worried about Drive and Iron Man. :ohno:
