We’re speeding into the era of 16-bit gaming to kick off our newest series dedicated to the fastest video game mascot out there, Sonic the Hedgehog!
The SEGA Genesis was a revelation, and many of us at Bottleneck spent our childhoods glued to our TV sets watching a rebellious blue hedgehog race through vivid scenery, collect precious Rings, and fight against Dr. Eggman and his wild robotic creations. Sonic was instantly iconic and quickly became a fan-favorite gaming mascot; especially with the introduction of his best bud, Tails, in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Our new, ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog print series will feature art from SEGA and Sonic’s past and prints from some of our favorite artists.
For our first Sonic the Hedgehog series release, we’re putting a new spin on the Blue Blur with lenticular and acrylic editions of the box art for Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2! The box art for both games is instantly recognizable, and we’re excited for these officially licensed screen prints, 3D Lenticular & Multi-Layer Acrylics to be the first in our Sonic series!
