)real happy to see some older classics being released on steel....only wish Blufans, Kimchi, nova & the other premium retailers would do them. I would love a blufans Bridge On The River Kwai or Spartacus. How do you all think they would sell if done by a blufans?

This film deserves a fancy box set like what Lawrence of Arabia received last year, or the Ben-Hur Ultimate Collector's Edition in that nice black box. Universal should consider doing something special and unique with this release. This steelbook is a start but it's the same art as the regular Amaray edition. Ugh.
The big question is: Is this a new restoration for blu-ray, or the old blu-ray put into a Steelbook - if it is the latter, it is a definite pass - the transfer is utterly awful!!! Not as bad as the first Blu of Patton, but not good by any stretch of the imagination.
