Regardless as to whether or not your comment was deleted, perhaps you might like to consider your choice of words next time - no one should object to you having an opinion, but you could perhaps try and empathise with the opinion of others a little more ;)

I want to make it quite clear that I was enjoying reading both sides of the argument here. I understand that there is a lot of passion on both sides. As someone who is rather indifferent in this debate, reading both sides has been interesting to say the least.

I have the Play version, but will be getting this one. I just hope that it will also be glossy and maybe no blue banner this time. I purchased the DVD SteelBook for a friend some time ago and it looked so much neater sans Blu banner.

Once again it seems that certain new members seem to forget where they are. This is a friendly and open community, this ain't Blu-ray.com

own the original play.com version. & I don't think this is a bad thing at all. got my order in , hopefully they'll get rid of the border and throw in an embossed title or an embossed enterprise.

I take it you mean banner.

just ordered, this is great news for people who missed out on the original as i never had blu ray back then, and as this looks like only being a 1 disc i highly doubt it will make any difference to the value of the original, everyone should be happy really, i always wanted this one for the look of it.

I get both sides of this, I my self have the play one but its nice that people who missed out the first time get to have a copy without paying with it go's for on ebay. As it has been said its only a 1 dise verison but it still has nothing on the play one so its win win for all.

Fair enough and interesting is better than entertaining :)

Whoa, another bullet dodged for me. First Zombieland, now this. Who's next? Then again, I place my faith in FS exclusives, and not these over hyped European and Asian titles, so thats not too surprising. Wreck, if you have any pull with these people, you gotta tell them that this isn't good for their business. They're sacrificing long term profits for short term gains. This is what absolutely killed the sports card collectibles market back in the early 90's. History has taught that lesson before. I wonder who learned.

For those of you who thinks that collecting for value is "bad" or "wrong", I'm here to tell you you're dead wrong. Collecting for value is IMO, the most desirable thing about collecting anything. Why would anyone pay $100,000 for a comic book or a rare sports card? Is it for the great artwork? Is it for a wall decoration? You tell me? If theres any of you out there that still thinks value don't matter, I ask that you put your money where your mouth is. I want you to sell me your FS IM's and John Rambo's for $30 a piece, the price they originally sold for when released. Any takers? Being happy that that this will screw people who paid a premium for this steel is just wrong. I'd rather see the little guy get the profits, than some heartless multi million dollar corp, fleecing us people with their over saturated product.

For those who are looking for safe bets, in this re release happy hobby of ours, I have some suggestions. IP's are no more, MB's are no more, so you can bet the mortgage that theres not gonna be a re release of any kind here. And then you add the name "Disney" to the said IP's and MB's... well, I'll let you decide what happens next.

You should buy for the steelbook not the shrink wrap xD

I am trying to understand another way to differentiate the two. If this one will not have stickers than it will be clear to see which one is zavvi vs. play. I guess that only holds up as long as both are sealed though ;)

Yea man. Told my friend who has the play.com ine to hurry up and sell it as it will probly go down in value at the hands of this reprint.

Surely the worst thing you can do is panic sell? No-one will want to purchase the Play.com version until there are more concrete details on this one i.e. confirming it to be the same or slightly different. It's best to wait for the initial hype and panic to die down before deciding what to do. After all even if the value plummets, you're friend still has a great looking Steelbook :scat:

If this one is a gloss finish with no blue banner then I'll get rid of my Play copy and keep this one. I don't much care for how much each is worth, I'll just be happy to keep whichever one looks best to me. Losing that dated-looking banner would be a welcome change.

i actually like the blue banner on this lol, i think some steels suit them and imo this is one, but i understand most hate them;)

The blue blu-ray banner in play.com version compliments against the white making it stand out very nicely. Without it, it would look dull. JMO.
