Whoa, another bullet dodged for me. First Zombieland, now this. Who's next? Then again, I place my faith in FS exclusives, and not these over hyped European and Asian titles, so thats not too surprising. Wreck, if you have any pull with these people, you gotta tell them that this isn't good for their business. They're sacrificing long term profits for short term gains. This is what absolutely killed the sports card collectibles market back in the early 90's. History has taught that lesson before. I wonder who learned.
For those of you who thinks that collecting for value is "bad" or "wrong", I'm here to tell you you're dead wrong. Collecting for value is IMO, the most desirable thing about collecting anything. Why would anyone pay $100,000 for a comic book or a rare sports card? Is it for the great artwork? Is it for a wall decoration? You tell me? If theres any of you out there that still thinks value don't matter, I ask that you put your money where your mouth is. I want you to sell me your FS IM's and John Rambo's for $30 a piece, the price they originally sold for when released. Any takers? Being happy that that this will screw people who paid a premium for this steel is just wrong. I'd rather see the little guy get the profits, than some heartless multi million dollar corp, fleecing us people with their over saturated product.
For those who are looking for safe bets, in this re release happy hobby of ours, I have some suggestions. IP's are no more, MB's are no more, so you can bet the mortgage that theres not gonna be a re release of any kind here. And then you add the name "Disney" to the said IP's and MB's... well, I'll let you decide what happens next.
