There are two different order descriptions for each Steelboook:

1. Star Trek XI - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]
2. Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]

No 1 (The 'Zavvi Exclusive') is the black one.

And this is not the steelbook but just giving you idea on how it would look with the front and back. ie. giving the collector the choice of which side they want as front so you can switch the plates.

Saw this for the first time last night a day before watching the sequel. And man was I blown away. What have I been doing for the last 4 years that I missed this? This was the first scifi flick to amaze me in ages. I am glad I am adding this to my collection since this artwork is fresh.

Does anyone know the region? I hope it is region-free. Sorry if this has already been asked.

Paramount releases are usually region free. I think you'll be ok as previous Star Trek releases have been region free.

I cancelled my preorder for this but it looks very nice. I think I'd want it at some point but two things putting me off - £15 for a fairly old film isn't very good, and I expect they might bring out a two-film collection with the new film...

yes, ive seen it in mediamarkt for 14,99€ as well..

zavvi exclusive means that theyre the only one in the UK selling this, not only one worldwide

Paramount releases are usually region free. I think you'll be ok as previous Star Trek releases have been region free.

Thanks for this. Even if it isn't, this movie is worth visiting a local store and picking up the regular blu ray for just $10.

Aww my girlfriend made me cancel this one when I accidentally just told her I had it pre orderered when the white version just got here. Oh well I prefer the white artwork anyway. I was lucky to get one when they put them back online last Saturday. Maybe I can get one if the drop the price on it some after release.

Yup it's GLOSSY just the exact same as the German version

Think I am going to cancel this one as I got the white one in the order day, can't really justify the $$ on two versions of the same movie, and I am not really a big Trekkie anyways.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what's so good about the white one? I guess it's the same cover as the rare Future Shop edition but still, I feel that this black version is so much better. You have the stunning main characters on the front and a great inside art. The white one looks really boring in my opinion.
