Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

Question for you guys, i am new to this forum and i have noticed that i can only post as much as 10 post per day as set by the admin of this site...Why is that??? When i reach 10, i get a pop up and it says that i can only post 10 per 24 hours....

I have been a member on blu-ray.com since 2009 and not once i get that popup saying that.

It is there to stop people racing in to the trading section by just spamming. We like people to take an active part in the forum and there are plenty of sections that may interest you so reaching 30 posts shouldn't be too hard. Once you have reached that then there are no restrictions on your posts.

The fact they say the packaging is going to be great is what makes me want this steel. The artworks on both ES are great even though I feel this one is slightly better. But i don't care for a 1:50 space ship. If the packaging is so different that could make this a need steelbook in the future.

Why oh why, not ES, gonna be another £27 job at least + 2nd class shipping they use, this is bad news, I was really hoping HMV would get it

At least you have the option of buying it or not. The motherf****rs won't ship outside the UK. Then everyone else has to pay extra postage costs for a GB :(

Oh, man, great looking steel. Hope for a decent price and region-free :ohno: If so, then Futureshop just got cut, with their lousy no-3D version.

But, can I afford this AND the Blu-fans??? :naughty:

I think I'll just pre-order all 3 UK Into Darkness steelbook's and then decide later.

This one most likely be the standard £26.99 and the Villian one being £40+ with its extra's (Deluxe packaging featuring a 1:50 scale model of the USS Vengeance) and the amazon one being £17-£22 and more likely 2D only.

Paramount are USUALLY ALWAYS region free :)

Hey guys, I be hosting a GB for this and the link will be active shortly in the Group Buy thread. For those that have participated in the GI Joe ES GB and previous the ones, it will be the same procedures for those. Cheers :)

FYI guys, I won't be running a GB for this or any steels for the foreseeable future, so please don't hold off on joining Sunny's GB for the hope of me opening one to allow combined shipping with other items already purchased.

Don't like the pizza cutter front artwork, it would've been better if this one was bundled with the model instead of the other version.
