Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

im glad i preordered this now, it will keep the set going with me play.com star trek. as for the time it took to sell out think it comes down to one thing.. they set a limit per customer which meant that the ebayers didnt buy all of the stock to sell for the big bucks. which i for one am glad of as it means all the people that wanted it got it for what they should have instead of expensive ebay prices. cant wait to see what the next es exclusive is...im going for world war z

actually now i think about it i really hope its man of steel:D:thumbs:

4000 copies of this still sold out with an £8 cheaper amazon alternative and another boxset. Thats good going EEK!

This also includes 3D which the Amazon one doesn't. That's a big deal for some people (me ;) ).

Also, I don't wanna fork out £20 more for a toy, bulky box and inferior artwork.

Not all the people who wanted it got it for what they should have. I am one of those who live outside of UK and can't get into the group buy due to not having enough posts and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Lets just hope the group buy is still open or that other countries will offer this in both 3D and 2D with the same artwork. I really don't wanna pay a premium for this on eBay.

This happened with hansel as well, the odd couple popping up now and then as people cancelled

I've been going through my pre-orders and decided to cancel this and go with the Amazon version instead. £25 is a high price for me especially when I'm not bothered about 3D.

Yes and especially since they said it was going to be some super packageing and now they say they wont make the deadline but the price is the same with or without it , in my opinon the price should be adjusted to reflect this matter...

Take care
