NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:

We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

It looks to be matte. That and the edge border for title embossing is a bad idea. They cut right through the art. Why??? Title embossing is not my idea of special. This was my leading candidate for the steel to get. :tear:

Most likely they never sent copys for some reason (system failure or delay in manufacturer) i get one on monday , second never arrived

I had to return mine as it had a scratch on the spine (NOT a spine slash, phew!). Their customer service is excellent and I received my replacement a day after I sent back mine so I know they just sent me one out straight away without receiving the damaged one back first

Still waiting for mine to arrive, I have sent an email asking for a replacement - hopefully I'll get that asap.

I'm no fan of ES but reading some of the negative comments left by buyers sound slightly suspicious to me. As an example, "item didn't arrive, want a refund" as apposed to "item didn't arrive requested a replacement".

Surely it was ordered and didn't arrive you will still want it? Maybe it's just me

Yeah I manged to get one a min ago. I got one a few days ago when 1 or 2 went back up and my card was declined and they canceled my order even tho in my email it stated they save it. Went back on the link a min later and was sold out so happy I could grab one this time. Also I asked if more were going to be avaliable because people were getting replacements and they said to me that they have kept some for that reason and when that's all finished they will put them back up. So either expect a few more soon or that was the last 2!

2 of my replacements arrived about 30 minutes ago, strangely 2 of the "lost" originals turned up last night. Sending the excess SB back to ES just as soon as I get the OK.
TNT really screwed up this time. I hope ES drop then in time for WWZ.
I removed my negative feedback seeing as ES did sort it out.
