Mine should have been delivered today. According to the DHL tracking my neighbours received them for me!:scat: I can´t wait to get home from work today!

Got both of mine today and I'm pleased with them:D Glad I sold my box set now I don't think there as bad as everyone says in the flesh. Each to there own I suppose!

I do agree with you in part, but as a fan of Star Wars who has just bought the trilogy for the 6th time Im used to every release having something wrong/missing so Im kinda used to the disappointment lol

I think everyone can agree while this is most definitely not the best steelbook in terms of everything, art, finish etc certain people of a certain age bracket grew up with these films. They could have wrapped this in paper and I would have bought a copy. In 1977 my father took me to see this and we came out buzzing. It was that good a film we queued back up and went in for round 2. What I would say is for all those disappointed in the release, let's look forward things to come. A single release of all movies glossed up in a special set. Ok I'm in.......

With original poster artwork!

I too sold my Blu Ray box set, sad thing is, that's the first time ever though, I've still got my Star Wars DVD's, and VHS releases (both original, and THX remasters).

I felt a bit guilty when I did it :(

I kinda like tose artworks but because of the horrible changes for the blu-ray releases and horrible transfer for Return of the Jedi, this one is an easy pass for me. And I was very tempted because it has Darth Vader on the frontcover (my favorite movie villain).

Those things are beautiful, I love the art! However, I still have my boxset and I like movies in an all-in-one package. If it was the original theatrical version, I would be all over this. Until then, I will wait for next time.

Is it likely these will sell out anytime soon ?.
I've not watched any of the star wars films since being a kid , I've never been a huge fan so I'm not sure if I'd like to pay £60.00 for the collection.

steelbook is semi-glossy btw.. definitely not matte like e.g. alien anthology or the rock

lightsaber and fonts have a special treatment.. hard to see on pictures tho..

looks really good imo

I will think the Star Wars bandwagon will appear when they release 3d versions individually later down the line. This box set is a joke, I love Star Wars, but seriously 1-3 and 4-6 boxsets, given Indy has a individual release, am sure Star Wars will follow suit, especially when Indy makes a heap load.

This is just like LOTR and the normal editions first, followed with extended later down the line to tempt you to double dip. Money making scheme at its finest.

Cover art should be the posters for all steelbooks, with a famous scene on the back, too many charatcers to choose from in the Star Wars universe to pick one for each. Am thinking saber fights are probably most memorable.
