Pretty awful design really, covers up pretty much all of the front...I like it when the slips kinda "enhance" the steelbook by adding some stuff to the front, like titles, colours and effects. Using a picture of Kylo Ren on the back seems very stupid when he is on the front of the steelbook itself...the front which you covered up in a black slip!
Where is that confirmation from? The listing clearly states steelbook despite the mockup photo appearing to have a black amaray case.

Sold Out on NOVA!
I'm struggling to pull the trigger on this. No 3d and the art and package are nothing special.
We know that Blufans is going to do an OAB and Nova will be doing a Nova Choice package most likely. Both will have the WWA SB but that's not a surprise. I certainly don't see a WEA SB coming? I hope I'm wrong. I'm sure either Blufans or Nova will do an excellent WEA Slip so I think grabbing the Wallmart or Best Buy SB for now and wait for the premium exclusives is the way to go $41 for this is way to much.

It's back in stock at NM and never went out of stock at kimchidvd. And I'd wait for the Nova Choice/Blufans release, I'm sure they will be much nicer than this.
The 3D Blu-Ray release (steelbook, amaray, ANY release) won't be out until later this year. I think I saw August as the last date given. It's yet another way that Disney will milk us for our cash, but to be honest Lucasfilm/Fox has already been doing this with their various SW releases over the years.
I can't say anything beyond pure speculation regarding two waves of steelbooks/premium editions. My guess is that in the US the usual suspects (Target/Best Buy/Walmart) will release new exclusive editions when the 3D discs are released later this year. I highly doubt they will create a new steelbook for the 3D release. If anything, they will use the same Episode 7 steelbooks with Kylo on the front and replace the DVD disc with the 3D Blu-Ray disc. But one can dream, right?
