Aren't slips the majority of the time the same as the blu Ray art?
At least in my experience they are unless it's states exclsusive slip art or character slips which is rare. (Guardians did have character slips in the US though so it could be seperate art but I doubt it)

tenderheartbear most steels always have different art to amaray's, i would be amazed if we get amaray art on a steel tbh. anyway for me personally does not matter too much as i have @zestys fullslip lenti box coming and that is what ill be looking at

Even though that's the case, when it comes to their WWA (or at least European AW) on steelbooks, Disney haven't exactly excelled themselves.

IMO, the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man were poor in the extreme, and with their missing titles Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: The Dark World, Frozen, Inside Out and the forthcoming The Good Dinosaur leave a lot to be desired.

As much as I hope the finished product looks like the mock-up on Zavvi's (and others) website, based on past experience I'm prepared for the worst.

agree disney europe designs have been pi$$ poor guardians i left alone hated it that much but ended up getting blufans which is what i orginally wanted (poster art) and antman i thought was another joke, so left that alone completely and still waiting for a decent one to turn up think it will with a bit of time maybe.
regards CA:TW Thor:TDW i bought from best buy at least americans get spine titles, i get the reason europe doesn't cheaper production costs but doesn't mean i want a shelf of steels with no idea what it is.
I remember when a hunger games turned up with no title we ended up have to get some made.

Like with this star wars not having the 3D I suspect when it does turn up and it will! i will have to get amaray and some of those sticky disc nipples and add it in, but disney already know what robbing there upto, bar stewards
bit like lotr normal release and then extended following year

anyway hopefully this will turn up as a decent diamond disney do owe us a good one, if not i will be looking at the american market.

I had no problems with the LOTR extended editions as they were announced even in advance of the theatrical cuts on DVD, so waiting was an option (which I did). With The Hobbit movies, I got the theatrical cuts as they were frankly long enough already and I'm not a fan of them anyway really.

It's odd that The Force Awakens seems to be missing the 3D version as this isn't normal behaviour from Disney. The 3D disc has been available in every Zavvi steelbook where available AFAIK, from The Lion King to Inside Out. This is why I wish every steelbook had an extra slot in the case so that on the occasions when 3D and DVD discs are left out, you could at least buy it separately and put it in the box with the minimum of fuss.

I don't care for 3D myself, so I always take the 3D disc out and put the DVD in.

UK releases are usually on Mondays, occasionally a special release arrives on a different day but very rarely.

The US Target version seems to have Kylo Ren on the front and appears to match the previous recent releases (sans and Fox logos obviously).

While I'd prefer the poster art, it might inspire me to pick up those recent releases to have a matching set and get rid of the two trilogy steelbooks I currently own.
