So I asked for some clarity regarding the title on the steelbook, and received the following response (and I quote, word for word):

"I can advise that the title is the steelbook shall have the title of the front of the item itself."

BTW, I don't believe this latest response for one minute!

Zavvi not refund the costs of return if it is not an error or a damaged item. So they know that some (many) international buyers will not return the Steelbook.

They don't have a clue. Once in a while they know it's gloss or matte but even then half the time they get that wrong.
This will have a Blu Ray disc, Blu Ray bonus disc and DVD and the title will be on the j card.
Next they will tell you the spine is incorrect on their mock up and it does in fact have a spine title lol

As many have pointed out, their Customer Services team really don't have a clue and just rely on what is already in the listing. I don't know whether this is amusing everyone on here or just making them more angry about it, but my intention is certainly not to annoy anybody or give out unreliable information (hence the references to direct quotes for people to make their own minds up on).

I do have a bit of a mischievous side in me at times, like when I receive obvious scam calls about my computer having a virus (even when it was broken once) or having been in an accident (no I haven't) and qualifying for a claim (really?) - I sometimes wind the caller up something rotten for wasting my time! But that's another story for another forum entirely!

Nope, I'm not getting stressed at all. As I mentioned above, I'm being in one of my mischievous moods to see what rubbish they come back with each enquiry I make! I'm not taking any of their responses seriously at all - I learnt that lesson a long time ago!

@Doctor carry on mate i'm enjoy reading this, it all makes for entertaining monkey noises from zavvi customer service
the best one to get them confirm is it has three discs when we all know it will be two as listed. there will be no dvd in the uk, ill lay money on that for those thinking that there will be are wrong!

remember this disney europe where they scrimp on a title so why are they going to add a dvd when they don't need too, the same as the 3d has been confirmed coming out later in the year.
disney not stupid tighten the screws as they go on they got to get there money back from the buy out.

For those enjoying this little saga (I ought to create a franchise out of it - then sell the rights to Disney!), here's the response to my question about debossing on the (almost certain to be non-existent) title on the front of the steelbook:

"I have raised this query with our content team who will investigate and we will be in contact in 24-48 hours with an update on this."

Just in case you thought I was moaning, I wasn't, I also enjoy this and their usless CS but I just know from experience when you do want to know something and they answer something completely different to what you asked it can get annoying. But we all know that anyway lol

I think it's a sad state of affairs, we know Zavvi frequent these boards but rather than engage with us and to try to improve things it it's just left as it is with Zavvi being a mockery.

I've ordered the Best Buy and the Target version of this but still have my Zavvi order, I really don't know why I still do tbh.

If you have a great Steelbook, with all the bells and whistles, and you broadcast that info, what happens? It'll be scalped, and no Collectors can get hold of it.

The next Steelbook you release, has no bells and no whistles, and you say nothing, what happens? No one buys it, as Collectors wait for a better release.

By not giving out details, it maintains the mystery and adds to sales of both good and bad examples. Frustrating for someone with limited funds, but effective in improving sales.

Buy this Steelbook.

Not sure about that. They don't limit the number you can order (at least I don't think they do) so I don't think they care whether they sell to collectors or scalpels. It's all worth the same to them.

i thought limited all orders to max of 5, any over they used to go thru and cancel them and that always used to be zavvi policy. that was done to stop the scalpers but saying that its been soooo long since zavvi had a really decent steel can't remember many that have sold out straight away and not come back tbh.
