Yes Sin City looked nice was Glossy but was only Theatrical Cut
But important factor Sin City Canadian steelbook had big difference to previous steelbooks was missing second Disc that had recut version of the film and extras missing that's something of a big no with this release you never ever should drop extra cut of film and extras with any Sin City release
I consider dropping a extended film cut and extras as a massive mistake

Thankfully I already had the German version with both discs, but I agree, it sucks when you need to double dip just to get all the features that should be coming with a premium edition of your favourite movie. Don't think it'll change any time soon since these already sell like hot cakes as is, but it seems the only way we can win in almost every category (finish, content/features, art quality), most of the time anyway, is by buying from niche retailers like Kimchi, Blufans and Plain Archive... but then those usually come with a pretty hefty price tag for going the extra mile... so you can't really win unless you start compromising with one of the above.

Well i'm hoping SC make an exception for ultra limited runs :)

...what studio are the new ones recently announced from? WB?

Well The Aviator supposedly has at least spot gloss maybe even a full gloss finish, so you never know and yes the three new ones are Warner titles.

the longer i look at the artwork, the more it reminds me of "close encounters". anyone else feels the same about this? i really hope this turns out a lot better. ;-)
