You see, that is where I don't mind a different interpretation of the character. It'd be one thing if it were a continuing series, but this is just another version of the character told from another perspective. I'm all for that! Hardcore fans need to understand this. I mean, it's not like this is a space opera where someone decided to throw in some wingtip shoes, LOL!

Other site? I wanna see pics!

Those f***ing wingtips! Somebody better be getting fired! LOL.

I'm pretty much in agreement, I like to see different interpretations of the character too. The only downside is if one particular version becomes very popular with a lot of fans that you don't like you will be stuck with that version for quite some time as the studio will continue to produce movies with that version until they can't figure out how to continue the story anymore. I actually don't mind Batman killing people as he killed quite a few in Batman '89 and Batman Returns, which are 2 of my favorite movies of all-time. I just know that some fans can't stand that.

Here is Terp's XM Daredevil: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=12021864&postcount=4287

That thing looks amazing! WOW! I bet he also won't have to worry about leaning issues and stuff like that, LOL! I've seen other XM stuff from a guy I follow on Youtube, and it's all just incredible.

I hear ya, and that could be a big downer if you're not a fan of the current version. Kinda like how I feel about Rebels.

Look at you with your fancy shirt. LOL! :D I'm glad you got it. I still think you should start up a bike club called Starkiller1138.

I can see it now, "Uh-oh! Here comes that pack of Star Wars nerds! Lets get the F outta here!" LOL!

Thats the big reason this movie is getting this much backlash. MOS just wasn't universally received and the people that didn't like it are making sure to make themselves heard after WB released their planned DC movie slate that is all based out of MOS and its going to take a good decade to get through it all. All those fans that don't like MOS don't want to be stuck with that tone and feel for all of that time. Likewise the people that loved MOS are also making their voices heard hoping the plan continues without any problems. Marvel never had this problem as it all started with Iron Man, and that is one of the most praised superhero movies of all-time, and rightfully so because it was ****ing awesome!

I sure hope you are getting a much better product than SS delivers because man those XM pieces price range can get insane. I still want one though. I hope they get the DC license too.

It worked for the Shaak Ti base, but they just made this one weird. Needs to be more flat and the spine of the Bantha needs to wrap around the outer edge back of the base finishing with more of the skull showing to the side. And, instead of the Wamp Rat, have the O ring from the "Look Sir, droids" moment in the sand. The figure looks really good though. The pauldron looks to be mixed media but I could be wrong and it could just be well painted.

I like pieces of Green Lantern too. Is it a great movie? No! But, can it be a good popcorn flick to watch now and then? Yeah, definitely. I feel the same way about Ghost Rider.

If they are changing plans based on reviews, they have and have had zero confidence in this movie. I don't see it. WB will wait for the cash to roll in and go from there.

Totally! LOL! Burnt corpses probably wouldn't fly with Disney though, but yeah, that'd be awesome!

Nice! Huge congrats man! What are your thoughts on the construction, quality, etc. compared to SS?

My Sideshow pieces have been hit or miss lately, my Batgirl had black paint on her chest and even my Boba Fett had scratches on the base. My Gladiator Hulk was perfect though. The Daredevil is flawless from what I can tell and I'm just going to say right now that I don't think Sideshow could paint these belt buckles or triangles this well, there would be paint smudge galore.

Dude, I just saw pics of it on the other site! OMG! How much did that cost you? Did you have to sell other statues or internal organs to afford it? Thats definitely one of the best looking pieces I've ever seen!

I'm actually surprised I haven't heard more of "If you like MOS than you'll like BvS", considering this is mainly supposed to serve as a direct sequel to MOS more than anything else. It should have the exact same tone and feel as MOS does since it the same director.

I knew eventually the Mouse would ruin SW collecting :p.

If they decide to make changes to the DC Universe they would have to do it almost immediately following this weekend. They are shooting WW currently and I'm not sure if its done but they definitely have at least a good chunk of it done. SS has completely finished shooting, and fromrom what I hear a lot of people really like Affleck as Batman so they won't be changing that part of the movie. Although I did hear one big complaint :
Apparently Batman murders in BvS, which is something the character is very against doing in the comics and the hardcore comic fans are extremely pissed about this, although they still like the Affleck performance. I haven't read enough info on particular scenes because I don't want to spoil the movie for myself.

It cost $1K shipped. I can't believe I spent that much on a statue, never thought that would happen, ha. I've been selling all my Hot Toys, the figures just weren't doing it for me especially after I got that ginormous Hulk statue. I realized bigger is better :p

BTW, just got this in :D :

That shirt is awesome! Is that your riding shirt or your gym shirt?

LMAO! That would be hilarious!

I've noticed secondary XM prices have been coming down lately. Even the Wolverine is starting to go for right around $1K on ebay and it was way over a while back. I think the hype has worn off plus they are putting a ton of product out. I'm hoping I can snag that Elektra for less than I paid for Daredevil. Of course it would be easier if SS just got distribution rights and we could purchase these for retail price (which I think is around $650 USD and there wouldn't be insane shipping prices either!).

The details are incredible! Do you feel the quality is worth a grand?

I freaking love that Hulk statue you got too. I love the detail that HT is able to put into the human sculpts, but no matter how much detail they have they just never can give the presence that a PF can.

Thats good to hear the hype is wearing down a bit. I still wish the US could get distribution rights too.

Ha, there's no way I'd ever say a 1:4 scale statue is worth paying a grand for...but unfortunately those are the prices to get some of these pieces. And it's Daredevil, I had to have it. Even Sideshow is getting close to where you're paying $600 shipped for some statues. I guess it didn't feel as bad since I just used funds that I had received from selling other stuff (at least that's how I'm justifying it in my head).

Lord help us if they ever get going with their Star Wars stuff. They seriously must have 20+ Marvel statues in development right now, can you imagine all the SW stuff they could pump out??

Ha! I totally get it. I could possibly see myself dropping a grand on a Batman statue because its Batman. And that Daredevil statue is the best looking Daredevil statue I've ever seen by far. How tall is it? Are you still planning on getting a PAX?

Its good to see the excitement this company has for cranking out products for their Marvel license. I wonder whats going on with their SW stuff as we still haven't seen anything yet. Lou and I keep hoping the delay is because they are trying to get worldwide distribution rights.

I wish I could be as focused as you and just collect Star Wars, Superman, and Daredevil...but I keep thinking I need to have everything! I really should sell my HQ, Poison Ivy, and Batgirl. I have no attachment to any of those three characters. I would keep Batman just to complete the Justice League while Joker and Catwoman are iconic so they could stay too.

I'm hoping the same thing about XM Star Wars! I saw someone comment that XM has done more in the last two years with the Marvel license than Sideshow has done in the last 10 years. Kind of sad.

I still don't think I'm focused enough! LMAO! There is just so much awesome stuff out there. Sometimes when I see something I just have to have it, regardless of license or scale. My scales are litterally all over the place, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1:18 (for car models). I told myself I would do 1 nice display setup and stick to 1 license and 1 scale in it, so thats what I decided to do with SW. I'm 100% sticking with PFs as far as SW goes. With DC and any other license its literally all over the place, and in a completely different room because of the randomness lol. I would so love to get back all of my DC PFs that I sold but I would never have the space for them anymore.

Do you still have any of your SW PFs?

I'd totally believe that. SS was going crazy with the DC PFs once they got the license, but now they seem to want to crank out lots of variants of pieces they've already done before finishing up any of the lines they started. Marvel has been kind of quiet, but not nearly as quiet as their SW PF line obviously lol.

Okay so it's not just me that's all over the place, ha. Okay so maybe I should try to be more like Lou!

I only kept my stormtrooper and the scout trooper on speeder bike (which is my favorite). I sort of regret selling the Maul and I'm debating on buying the new R2 & 3PO to replace mine. I definitely want that new Vader, I didn't like the original and think the new one looks badass. Are you getting either of those? Did you ever get Commander Cody? I guess I keep hoping Hot Toys does the human characters in 1/4 scale, I don't know why they chose the three they did in 1/4 scale (other than they are the best sellers, ha ha). Their 1/4 scale Robert Downey sculpt was fantastic.

I forgot to answer your earlier question, that DD is just under 27 inches tall to the top of the base. If I took the back part of the base off then he's only 22 inches to the top of his head. I'm hoping to get some PAX units soon!

Lou should definitely be your role model for collecting LOL. I don't know how that guy has the discipline.

I actually really like the first Vader mainly because he works so perfectly in a Besta display, same with the original Fett. I would definitely have gotten the ROTJ Vader instead if I wasn't limited to a besta display, as thats my favorite Vader outfit. I've also decided to pass on R2 and 3PO because no matter how many times I try, I just can't convince myself to drop nearly $800 on them. After being spoiled by some of the "bargain" (lol) $400 prices that SS used to have on their huge DC pieces, I just can't get myself to spend $400 on 3PO which isn't nearly as big or detailed, and then almost $400 again on R2 which is basically a 10 inch tall piece of plastic. I also passed on Cody, just didn't like the character enough to purchase him. I'm not planning on ordering any more SW PFs until the Kylo Ren PF is up for order.

I wish HT would do more in 1/4 scale too. I wonder if they just don't sell that well. I'm guessing most 1:4 scale collectors have been collecting statues for years and just didn't want to jump into figures instead.

Thats a really nice sized piece. I knew that was going to be huge just looking at how high the base goes over his head.

Can't wait till you get your PAX so you can start a thread :D.

I've just read some more BvS reviews from actual people and its at least a mixed bag, which I think is an improvement. It seems like the bashing filled with hatred for Snyder to get fired is going down a bit (its still there a little), and more people are starting to say its fun, or at least a good popcorn movie.

He also has a wife and kids! I'm sure if we had either we would be more limited on our spending habits, ha. Speaking of, my brother sent me a picture of his 3 boys all in SW pjs. A 1-year old Vader with a big smile on his face cracked me up.

I was thinking after I asked you about Vader that he's probably too tall for your display. Although wouldn't those Glassvik frames allow you to lower shelves without it being noticeable? And I agree that R2 is ridiculously overpriced! Wait until they release their $500 BB8! I originally had Cody on order until it took forever, debating on revisiting him. The orange clone trooper colors are my favorite.

I'm guessing most HT collectors aren't interested in the bigger scale and you're probably right about statue collectors not wanting figures. If they did do any of the humans in 1/4 scale they would still have wrist joints which would probably turn off statue collectors.

You need to stop reading BvS reviews and just go see it! ;)

Thats awesome! Is it bad that I have SW pjs and I'm in my 30s? LOL.

Well I can tell you this from when I counted peg holes on the besta, when you lower the top shelf as far as you can the comic Batman PF will fit on the top shelf only with his short ear head, his long ear head is too tall. I think the new Vader PF is taller than comic Bats. The middle shelf allows you the most adjustability but the doors 2 inch border would pretty much hide the characters head completely from view at max height, and it still might not be tall enough for Vader. Whenever I buy a PF for this display it really has to be 24" tall or shorter.

Iron Studios is selling a 1/10 scale BB-8 for $210! And its only 3 inches tall! At that rate SS would tell you that $500 is a bargain for a 1/4 scale version. I don't know what the hell is going on in the statue collecting world .

I've pretty much decided that I'd be crazy to not see Batman and Superman together on screen for the first time. I have a really weird taste in my Batman movies though, and I have to admit mine is heavily influenced by nostalgia. I love both Burton's and Schumacher's movies more than Nolan's. Everyone on the internet practically has a stroke when I tell them that. Donner's Superman movies are still my favorite too.

Pretty much all of my pajamas are Superman related and half my wardrobe is superhero t-shirts so I'm in the same boat!

I wish the Besta cubes were all 30" tall, it would help so much! Of course then SS would start making bases over a foot tall, ha ha.

I haven't seen the Keaton Batman movies in quite some time and I actually liked Batman Forever, but don't tell anyone that. I also liked Superman Returns more than Man of Steel...

Yes! I'm not alone! LOL.

Ha, I wish they were taller too but I agree SS would just make taller statues anyways. These huge bases are their way of justifying these new $500+ prices. I'd much rather have a 1-2 inch base and spend $400.

Your secret is safe with me, Batman Forever is one of my all-time favorite superhero movies. I can't even tell you how many times I've gotten into arguments with Nolanites on the internet who are unable to accept any other version of Batman than theirs. A lot of those fans are very simlilar to the "Empire Strikes Back is the greatest" crowd. I also liked Superman Returns more than MOS. I liked that it had a Donner-like feel to it, and I absolutely loved Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor.

I remember going to the first three Batman movies in the theater when they were released so I'm a fan of those and the Nolan versions. To this day I still have never seen Batman & Robin though. I think the airplane rescue scene in Superman Returns is one of the best action sequences in all the Superman movies (along with when he saves Lois and the grabs the helicopter in the first movie). Man of Steel was too much video game action, I actually found myself getting bored during the endless destruction and kept thinking "Superman would never allow this to happen." I just feel Snyder has no grasp on these characters.

When does The Force Awakens come out on blu-ray? It's sometime in April right?

LMAO! That would be hilarious!

Yeah, even my mom said that it just didn't feel like the Donner films. I told her, "They aren't supposed to." Just like Batman, there are plenty of versions out there for everyone when it comes to Supes. Even if this is the version of Bats and Supes for the next few years, there are plenty of older movies to keep fans happy while others who enjoy the current version enjoy their time.

My Sideshow pieces have been hit or miss lately, my Batgirl had black paint on her chest and even my Boba Fett had scratches on the base. My Gladiator Hulk was perfect though. It cost $1K shipped. I can't believe I spent that much on a statue, never thought that would happen, ha. I've been selling all my Hot Toys, the figures just weren't doing it for me especially after I got that ginormous Hulk statue. I realized bigger is better :p

That shirt is awesome! Is that your riding shirt or your gym shirt?

I've noticed secondary XM prices have been coming down lately. Even the Wolverine is starting to go for right around $1K on ebay and it was way over a while back. I think the hype has worn off plus they are putting a ton of product out. I'm hoping I can snag that Elektra for less than I paid for Daredevil. Of course it would be easier if SS just got distribution rights and we could purchase these for retail price (which I think is around $650 USD and there wouldn't be insane shipping prices either!).

I have 3 of them. One for the gym, one for whenever, and one for riding. I'm taking Josh's idea though of the Twi' lek girl on a motorcycle t-shirt though. Currently working on the design with my oldest daughter.

Yeah, no way SS could do that kind of work on a production figure. I can't wait to see what they do with the SW line. Congrats man.

Same, I don't know if I'd ever say a statue is worth the grand I've paid for it, but if it is something I really want, and the quality is there, I'm all over it!

Crossing my fingers and toes! LOL!

Like I said, I'm not going off anything the Net has to say about it. If it were you guys, then ok, but anyone else, nope!

I have to many expensive hobbies as it is. Plus, nothing has influenced my life or has my heart like Star Wars does. But, there is really some amazing stuff out there from movies I really like.

You need to stop reading BvS reviews and just go see it! ;)

WORD! LOL! Go see it!

The SS 1/4 Cody is nice. Not asking price nice, but nice nonetheless. One of my favorite troopers so I had to have it.

LOL! That's awesome! I have SW pj's too. My entire wardrobe is SW related.

I don't see why. Donner's Superman movies are what a majority of us grew up with. Still, though, my favorite version is the current one. I even teared up during MOS which I've never done before on any Superman movie. My favorite Bats is the Keaton version, but I also really like what Nolan did with the character.

I liked Superman Returns better than any of the Donner movies. That plane/ shuttle scene was just epic! Oh and FWIW, two of my kids love Batman Forever.

April 1st for digital, and April 5th for BD.

See, I feel different. MOS seemed to be a what if this actually happened and these "super" beings actually fought in a metropolitan area the destruction would be enormous. I'm glad that Snyder didn't follow the formulas from the Donner movies and Superman Returns. That said, my only knowledge of these characters is from the movies and cartoons. I'm not a hardcore comic fan, so take my opinion of it with a grain of salt, LOL! I love what they did with MOS from story to visuals and everything in between.

Well I'll give you an opinion on B&R you won't find online anywhere, I think its 2 hours of pretty much nonstop fun. There is some heavy camp and even cringe worthy scenes in it, but overall its extremely fun, it moves much faster than a Nolan or Snyder movie, and there is lots of visual eye candy in it. I like it, I understand why others hate it, but I think the hate is a bit extreme.

The airplane scene from Superman Retuns is one of my favorites in all of the Superman movies. That was so freaking amazing.

Snyder definitely has an obsession with the video game type of visuals. This worked in 300 for me kind of, but thats about it. I think there is good in MOS, I actually liked most of the actors, but as a whole it just wasn't for me.

Yup, TFA comes out on blu April 5th. :D

These never get old

I saw that earlier today, I freaking love those!

I have 3 of them. One for the gym, one for whenever, and one for riding. I'm taking Josh's idea though of the Twi' lek girl on a motorcycle t-shirt though. Currently working on the design with my oldest daughter.

You just had a whole bunch of posts to catch up on!

Hell yeah! I can't wait to see the Twi'lek chick with the titties! lol.

I think the very fact that BvS has Batman in it means I'm sure I'll be liking it at least a little bit :).

I like what Nolan did with Batman as well for the most part, Begins is my favorite one of his. I'm just not a fan of how snobby the Nolan fans usually are online. They are really pompous. Oh, and 2 of your kids are really awesome for loving Batman Forever! You need to work on the third one though LMAO!

I got the TFA Steelbook preordered from Best Buy :D.

I think I would have liked to have seen Metropolis a bit more of a place of fantasy, I think having Nolan producing MOS really grounded stuff a bit too much for my taste. But too each their own, I'm glad you have a Superman movie you love all the way through. I think BvS is going to feel and look a bit less grounded.

Did you guys see SS put up the Armored Batman PF from BvS up for Preorder? That literally came out of nowhere. Now why the hell can they get all of their **** together for DC, but when there was a brand new Star Wars movie coming out they were just sitting on their ass?
