Feel free to suggest titles you'd like Steel Archive to cover in their Exclusive SteelBook editions.

#1 Spring - Love Is A Monster (Full Slip - Limited to 100 - 6 photo cards - Numbered Card - Numbered Sticker)

#2 It Follows (Full slip - Numbered out of 666 copies - Photo Cards - Photo/Essay Booklet - Foldout Poster - Numbering Card - Numbered Sticker)

Dream release right there.
They should have two slipcover options: CAR (full version, not the cropped like the amaray) and STREET.

* and I think the 666 print run for horror movies is played (and silly)....

Seriously, it would be awesome if its "It Follows", but which Steelbook will SteelArchive take for their Full Slip!? There is no Steelbook Release and I can't see a WEA release with a few thousand copies for a new company

Ahh, good point. There is a "Exclusive Amaray Edition" portion on their website. So maybe they plan on doing an amaray line as well as a steelbook. I'm sure a WEA keep case would be a lot cheaper to produce than a WEA steelbook. And honestly, I'd be super excited to get It Follows with any type of full slip.

I would be also super excited with any type of this but I can't see a WEA release even with Amaray. Possible that they can took the regular german Amaray release http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00ZEKTJZ8/?tag=hidefnin0d-21

But since their name is SteelArchive I think they will focus first on more Steelbook releases and when they established those maybe they go also the Keep Case route. But at this point I can't see this happening.

Amaray is an Option. Never saw this movie, is it good. ?

Yes. It's an independent horror movie. It's an modern 'old school' horror movie I would say, more suspense than gore. Intense creepy atmosphere what follow you subtle through the whole film even when nothing happen. Very nice shot and good score. It creeped the ish out of me.
I'm not a fan of those typically modern horror movies what's popular the last years, all that saw documentary doll paranormal ghost stuff. And I'm not a big fan of gore horror since I'm working at an intensive care unit and I see guts, brain and blood in real life daily, but this movie and I would say The Babadook are two new refreshing horror movies I really enjoyed.
Since it's an awesome movie and there's a lot of beautiful art for this movie like @jacobsever said a special edition like full slip and goodies would totally make sense. If it's Steelbook or Keep Case.

I am also not a huge fan of the last 10 years of horror films- and like @dan8885, I think IT FOLLOWS and THE BABADOOK are great films that are throwbacks to a more golden age of horror- where atmosphere and craft and story trumped jump scares and gore.
I disagree that it would not get a WEA release. This can be had. It is a low budget indie release. These films, by dedinition, can be had EASIER than films made by studios. There was a reason PLAIN started with MELANCHOLIA- it was independent and could be had for very little....and NOBODY else wanted to do it.
(The Plain founders explain this in their mission statement).
And just because their name is SteelArchive, doen't mean they have to just do steelbooks! Its just a name, dude!
Do PLAIN ARCHIVE just release "plain" stuff?!!

I think you misunderstood me a little bit buddy. Maybe because of my bad english, sorry then. It definitely can be a WEA release for "It Follows" and it truly deserves even plenty. My point was, I can't see
that SteelArchive will get a WEA release for their overall second release. The first release was an exclusive slipcover with 100 pieces. I can't see that their second release will be a WEA Steelbook with a few
thousand copies. It's possible in the future when they established but I can't see this happening RIGHT NOW. Maybe I'm wrong and they pull out a WEA with 4000 copies. I would be more than happy with that.

And with the name, it was just a guess from me that they try the Filmarena route first, going for Steelbooks in exclusive Full Slips with Goodies. I didn't want to say they can only be release Steelbooks because of the name. You totally get me wrong buddy but its surely my mistake

Edit:
And with your Melancholia/Plain Archive mention. That is totally right but please think about that there was no release in Korea but in the rest of the world. Nobody wanted to do it in Korea till PA did it. It Follows will receive a regular release in most countrys and even in Germany. So SteelArchive will not have this "exclusive" point for Germany like Plain Archive had with Melancholia for Korea.

Good points! We shall see! And your English is fine! I am kind of surprised that no company has an IT FOLLOWS steelbook even planned! That was a surprise hit. I think maybe it caught them off guard that this little film made such a splash! I am sure they will catch up. After all, we only got an announcement of a BABADOOK steelbook a few weeks ago!
But I get excited about new companies like SA because they might do releases of smaller films that the bigger, established brands might overlook or ignore...
How about a steelbook of DARK CITY! or BUCKAROO BANZAI?

Thanks for the compliment buddy. I try!
I can only speak for Germany but over here it don't got a lot of hype. A lot of cinemas don't play the movie. The company who distribute it in Germany is "Weltkino". They never released any Special Edition, only Amarays. And the Amaray release via Weltkino/Universum Film will be on November 27th. So I think the germans will catch up with this movie not until early 2016 when they realize how good it is. Babadook was in a lot of cinemas and it was a lot of promotion for this. And the distributor for this was luckily Capelight Pictures, they released a lot Mediabooks and Steelbooks in the past so they went for this also with both of em

I'm actually familiar with Weltkino. They released some dvd/blu ray mediabooks I desperately want!
(But they had such a low print run- you almost never see them secondhand)

No buddy, you mixed up the name. The first three are KINOWELT (Studiocanal) not WELTKINO. And the last one is 84' Entertainment. All with help by BMV-Medien

To go back to topic, this posted @DuckDogers yesterday:

and that´s true :)

But we speak with some German Label for #002 , wait of reply

Frequencies was great, and I still haven't pulled the trigger on the steelbook yet.

I personally would like to see non-horror movies @DuckDogers :)

The reason I suggested horror is because there are SO many other companies (Nova, Kimchi, Plain, Blu Collection, Blufans, HDzeta, Mondo, Film Arena, etc etc) that are releasing non-horror films. If you want non-horror, you have SO many other options to choose from! I'd love to see more horror get special releases, since it's my favorite genre. :wtf:
