Feel free to suggest titles you'd like Steel Archive to cover in their Exclusive SteelBook editions.

#1 Spring - Love Is A Monster (Full Slip - Limited to 100 - 6 photo cards - Numbered Card - Numbered Sticker)

In this context, "hater" is just American slang for someone who dislikes/disapproves of something or who is generally negative or critical. It's not usually meant to imply actual hatred; in fact, it's usually used in jest and/or for exaggeration. Which was how I intended it to be taken when I referred to the multiple people above who either don't like the movie or just don't want SteelArchive to make that choice.

Here are some quotes from those people:
"disappointing"
"I'm disappointed too"
"Splendid's releases are not my cup of tea"
"a bad B movie"

I believe those statements qualify as dislike and/or disapproval. And of course those people are fully entitled to their opinions. I was in no way trying to insult anyone; I didn't realize an emoticon was needed for clarification.

If that's true about the disc, I'm disappointed myself. I wonder if @DuckDogers could chime in on that?

It's all good buddy. I know what It means. But you missed the point WHY everybody was/is disappointed. Not because of the movie. You need to do some research on some posts before

Ah, I am thoroughly chastised. I actually thought that I HAD read through this entire thread at some point in the last couple of weeks, but going back through it just now, I realize that's not the case. I see now that most of the reaction was about the Splendid catalog thing and the desire for excellent indie horror like It Follows and The Babadook. I'm dying for a deluxe release of It Follows, myself--does the fact that Universal owns it mean that NO company will be able to "rent" it for a special release, or just a very young company like SteelArchive won't be able to?

Most of the big labels here in Germany are not sold on the idea of Full Slips as they say that it will not sell well and therefore they won't agree to do such an edition. To my knowledge, only Koch Media and Splendid (hence the choice for #002) are willing to do so. As "It follows" is from Weltkino which is currently distributed by Universum Film in Germany, the chances for that happening are slim. But if Steelarchive's exclusives catch on and generate some buzz for great editions, those chances might just grow. But as of now, don't hold your breath for a german deluxe release of "It follows".
However, for other countries, this is a different story and we'll might get lucky with some cool international edition.

The limited possibilities for a Full Slip therefore are probably the reason why @DuckDogers did not wait longer to decide on what to make #002 as the needed buzz can only be generated by producing some more editions. And I think, he mentioned, that he struck a good deal with Splendid for future titles as well. However, many are disappointed about the choice for #002 after #001 turned out to be such a niche choice that went as well with fans as it did with collectors. It's understandable therefore that a B-movie following this release up is not as great as having "It follows" follow it up (that was one seriously bad pun :D). But given the limited choices and the lower price - it's also not the worst choice, I'd say.

As for "The Babadook": this movie will be released as a steelbook and a mediabook here from Capelight. Their mediabooks are top notch, so it's definitely worth a look.

Thanks, imagine Maggie got the special treatment like a Full Slip, what do you think ? @cooey :naughty::naughty::naughty:
Maggie would be great  Maybe a bit mediocre movie, but really interesting with Schwarzenegger's and Breslin's performances... I wouldn't mind if it was SA #3, I think I would otherwise buy the steelbook anyway at some point.
