The artwork is the same as the DE 1st release which I have.

But what I meant was that I see some people are selling the FR edition for 150 Eur and yet there is an edition still on amazon FR. So I guess I am asking what am I missing between the seemingly same FR edition

That's the FNAC one that is being sold for 150Euros. Yes, the gold-tinted sticker thing again...

You see, sometime when you order from amazon.fr you may not get what you ordered as it didn't states it Steelbook or boiter metal something. They might ship you the amaray version.

First, the cover art may look the same, but the implementation is different, colors are very different on FR and DE 1st release. French one has very strange flavor of blue banner on top. It's a kind of green tinted, colors in the main art are not the same.

IIRC, the FNAC version might have extra exclusive disc (4th one) with some kind of Zack Snyder featurette.

Only if FNAC ends up releasing an exclusive for this title, and it doesn't seem so at this time.
I really think that FNAC's Hobbit and Amazon's one will be same

Sometimes FNAC have exclusive steelbooks (like Brave), they may have exclusive editions (like The Dark Knight or Sucker Punch, with slightly different artwork or even the same artwork but exclusive goodies inside, like an extra booklet) or sometimes they just sell the same version as other stores/Amazon.fr. If there is anything exclusive, it comes with the FNAC Exclusive sticker!

At the moment, The Hobbit hasn't been announced to have any sort of FNAC exclusives included. Keep an eye on The Hobbit thread for any updates though!

Never saw an FNAC of this. There's several copies on Amazon.fr from €11.99 through 3rd party but they are going for €7.99 on Amazon.es, supplied by Amazon. Weird .

ok got it, so eventhought the artwork is the same for both FR versions the FNAC had extra stuff that made it exclusive from the amazon version. So while I could go crazy spending excess money for that one I could just as easily go through amazon without the exclusivity and pay 1/10 the price
