Our 3rd release in conjunction with Synapse Films is that of SUSPIRIA. This edition’s quality is beyond words, but if you want an explanation you have plenty of that to be found below! Completely packed, crazily restored, and the ultimate definitive edition of SUSPIRIA in SteelBook form housed in HDN commissioned artwork from some of the best recognizable and talented artists on the scene. Following up on their consistent designs from Tenebrae and Phenomena we have brought on QuiltFace Studios “QFS” and The Dark Inker once more and added Matt Ryan Tobin for his amazing take on SUSPIRIA.

Each Slipbox will be semi-gloss with special print finishes and each edition will feature three 4x6 screen printed artcards by one of the best screen print poster printers in the business. QFS and MRT will feature silver metallic ink and DI will feature red metallic as well. Each edition comes with a bonus limited challenge coin in which the Blood Red Regular is limited to 125 and the Argento Rosa (Pink Silver) is limited to 75. They are awarded at random with single edition orders and only the Platinum Packs guarantee you one of each coin.

Dario Argento's masterpiece of horror comes to home video from Synapse Films in an exclusive new 4K restoration from the original uncut, uncensored 35mm Italian camera negative and with the original 4.0 English surround sound, for the first time EVER! Painstakingly restored over the past three years, Synapse Films has created the ultimate special edition of SUSPIRIA with the supervision and approval of the film's Director of Photography, Luciano Tovoli, and loaded with a separate Blu-ray disc of amazing extras. SUSPIRIA is now presented in its original glory for its 40th Anniversary!

The set will include two Blu-rays + 1 CD. The film will be on its own Blu-ray disc, to maximize the quality for both picture and sound, with most extra features being on a separate Blu-ray. The set will be Region A locked. CD obviously not locked.

“Info below is very early, and final extras have not been finalized. We believe this item may sell quite a bit faster than our previous SteelBook releases, so we wanted those who were interested to be able to "lock-in" their pre-order now. We DO NOT yet have a final street date, but we fully expect the Limited Steelbook to be released before the end of the year for the 40th Anniversary. Our goal is to start shipping in mid-late November, but this is subject to change. As the extras and final specs come in, we will update the listing accordingly.”

SPECIAL FEATURES:

My Toshiba bdx-3200 ( that can be rendered region free by just installing the Australian firmware) cost me €19 ($22) and it works perfectly fine, both bd's and DVD regions are changeable.

Search for Toshiba region free blu-ray on Google for other models the firmware hack works for .
I also got the Toshiba BDX-3200 and installed the Australian firmware 5 years ago and is still working fine
My panasonic Region B player decided to no longer play Blu-ray discs after 7 years :(

The Toshiba BDX-3200 is an excellent Blu-ray player and also only cost me €70 back in 2012
The later Toshiba players after BDX-3200 the Australian firmware doesn't work as far as I know

The BDX-3200 can only be purchased now from third party sellers and most will be previously owned

Does not work with any UK panasonic Blu-ray Players before 2011 and most models bar a few exceptions after 2011
UK Panasonic models need special firmware installed some UK retailers sell them with this firmware installed or the chip method used from specialist HI-FI shops

It does work yes with USA panasonic players the remote hack without any altered firmware installed

Got a chance to see the 4K restoration at my local cinema and WOW Synapse Films did a great job on this. The colors were vibrant and it looked like it was filmed yesterday. The 4.0 sound mix combined with the Goblin music score was a real treat to listen to. All I can say is to try to catch this at a theater near you if you can, I think you'll be pleased with the results.

on display at Mondo Con

Was it after Mondo Con that more copies would go up on the store? I should just go back a few pages. I really wanted the MRT but couldn’t find enough change in the ol sofa for it at the time

Edit: Looks like any that don’t sell will go back up! Fingers crossed...

Synapse posted on their Facebook page that they haven't experienced any delays and that we should get it by the end of the year, with that being said they won't announce a release date until it's 100% locked in.

Any MRT going back on the website? Looking to buy one for a friend.

Hi there, thanks for the support. The MRT edition is sold out. We have a few left of the QFS and Dark Inker eds at shop.hidefninja.com. Thanks!

Damn, I've been stalling for ages because of all the other releases draining my funds during this month and now Dark Inker seems to be sold out... I guess I'll have to try to catch it somehow later.

One thing I would LOVE to see is a PET slip cover, something similar to this but of course in a more appropriate colour scheme. Though, don't get me wrong, I also love what has been provided!

there may be anywhere from 5-10 Dark Inkers left but we will wait till after orders have practically all shipped before making sure final counts.

Why do our numbers get skewed by a little bit? Because over the course of past few months we have had people change their MRT or DI to QFS thus freeing up some stock that will be available at the VERY end or once our shipping process sees a true end of sight and better judgment can be made.
