Our 3rd release in conjunction with Synapse Films is that of SUSPIRIA. This edition’s quality is beyond words, but if you want an explanation you have plenty of that to be found below! Completely packed, crazily restored, and the ultimate definitive edition of SUSPIRIA in SteelBook form housed in HDN commissioned artwork from some of the best recognizable and talented artists on the scene. Following up on their consistent designs from Tenebrae and Phenomena we have brought on QuiltFace Studios “QFS” and The Dark Inker once more and added Matt Ryan Tobin for his amazing take on SUSPIRIA.

Each Slipbox will be semi-gloss with special print finishes and each edition will feature three 4x6 screen printed artcards by one of the best screen print poster printers in the business. QFS and MRT will feature silver metallic ink and DI will feature red metallic as well. Each edition comes with a bonus limited challenge coin in which the Blood Red Regular is limited to 125 and the Argento Rosa (Pink Silver) is limited to 75. They are awarded at random with single edition orders and only the Platinum Packs guarantee you one of each coin.

Dario Argento's masterpiece of horror comes to home video from Synapse Films in an exclusive new 4K restoration from the original uncut, uncensored 35mm Italian camera negative and with the original 4.0 English surround sound, for the first time EVER! Painstakingly restored over the past three years, Synapse Films has created the ultimate special edition of SUSPIRIA with the supervision and approval of the film's Director of Photography, Luciano Tovoli, and loaded with a separate Blu-ray disc of amazing extras. SUSPIRIA is now presented in its original glory for its 40th Anniversary!

The set will include two Blu-rays + 1 CD. The film will be on its own Blu-ray disc, to maximize the quality for both picture and sound, with most extra features being on a separate Blu-ray. The set will be Region A locked. CD obviously not locked.

“Info below is very early, and final extras have not been finalized. We believe this item may sell quite a bit faster than our previous SteelBook releases, so we wanted those who were interested to be able to "lock-in" their pre-order now. We DO NOT yet have a final street date, but we fully expect the Limited Steelbook to be released before the end of the year for the 40th Anniversary. Our goal is to start shipping in mid-late November, but this is subject to change. As the extras and final specs come in, we will update the listing accordingly.”

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Well done HDN, it looks another great package again! I can see fans being pleased with this and looks an incredible package.

Alas, I won't be getting it as I'm not a fan of this and the 2 other previous releases, but I have no doubt that they are great packages and this one will sell out FAST!

Well done again, and I look forward to your next release.... DAWN OF THE DEAD *COUGH COUGH* :)

Still bitter there was no Aeso version of Phenomena, and still no Aeso version of this. So I really screwed myself over by getting the Aeso of Tenebre. Doomed from the start to get a complete matching set.

Well, I *should* get the Dark Inker one for consistencies sake, but the more I look at that MRT edition... still looks like we're all gunning for that one come Live time :watch:
Absolutely cannot wait, we've all said Suspiria for so long it was bound to come true eventually
Now I just be waiting here like...

All three look very different, but are all equally amazing! A very nice introduction to the Black Label from Matt Ryan Tobin... really nice work, Sir.

I'll obviously wait for the prices to be announced before making a decision, but I'll no doubt only be able to afford the one edition as usual... in which case I'll probably go for Quiltface's, as I did with the previous two Black Label releases (they look awesome on the shelf together by the way). :)

Fantastic job once again HDN, and everyone else involved -- that includes @Snollygoster for the stunning work on the beauty shots. :notworthy:

I love this even though region locked, would love the middle version and just swap the discs out.
Hopefully this will be available and affordable.

The front of the steelbook is incredible--appears to be the same artist who did the covers of the recent German digibooks for Opera, Bird With the Crystal Plumage, and Four Flies on Grey Velvet. But the back of the steelbook is awful and its style clashes intensely with the front. The back of the O-ring slip shown on Synapse's website would have made a much better back cover for the steelbook.

The second slip is great stuff, but the magenta/cyan color scheme clashes with the red/blue/yellow scheme of the steelbook. Still, I think I'll be going for that one 'cause the slip is still really nice.

I'm so pumped that this film is finally getting some much needed special-edition-love (this release and the red leather box set that was recently released).

@Marjeez we were told the pre order bonus slipcover that Synapse will have is kinda like how scream factory does that w some releases. They didn't say that but that what I took from it as it's orders on their store only.

Ours is a slipbox not slipcover and all the other jazz

Well, that sucks. I like both the slipcover and #2 of your exclusive a lot. I guess my decision will depend on the price point of this.

I am also going to contact Synapse to confirm.
