Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

That sucks! Mine arrived today too and the corner of the Amazon box was opened. Was nervous to look inside but it was okay Besides a spine slash that is but it wasn't too bad.

really enjoyed this movie but its another steel iv'e missed out on, if i get two and they are both damaged then i give up, it just isn't worth the hassle to me anymore.

Haven't people been recieving their copies in the Amazon (steelbook) frustration free packadging? Not opened mine yet but no signs of damage/paint chips that I can see? Just noticed as it has the border that mine suffers from the clicking when you press down on it like the Paramount steels used too, many others had this?

My copy turned up in the steelbook packaging and was fine. Only issue I've had recently with amazon was the Skyfall "blue line." And that is a print issue, not packaging........touch wood my future orders are fine!

Yeah all copies have the "clicking". Ive had three or four of these and all had scratches, chips etc of some sort. Got one with a scratch around a corner so used a sharpie on it and will pretend its not there as i couldnt be bothered sending more back

My copy arrived today, perfect condition apart from the slightest spine slash. Can hardly see it unless you look really closely. Happy enough with it, can't see it when it's on the shelf.

i dont think these went oos, there was a message on the amazon page saying they stopped selling them due to some buyers complaining about the steelbook having issues which i assume is the missing paint ect.

It says mint condition so i hope the seller is true to their word
