i always considered FAC a pseudo premium retailer, where only on paper all criteria for calling their product premium (slipbox, steelbook, extras) are fulfilled... but the quality of everything (generic artwork, stapled booklets, poor flip flop lentis, etc. etc.) is definitely the worst out of every premium retailer... at least in my opinion.. asking for BY FAR the highest price for their product is a poor joke imo..

as of recently they improved their game tho, and at least their WEA steelbooks are of nice quality... still, no way its worth the markup

Well, I definitely don´t want to defend them, but their editions are acutally pretty nice, heavy and premium-like, they produce very nice lentis since last this year or so ~ and their full slips has very detailed embossing/finishes compare to other retailer´s fullslips (except TheBlu, coming to my mind now for example), BUT it´s just their arrogance, greed and horrible CS that killing it (and XL invention as well ). This apply only to their WEA projects though, coz I´m not fan of taking a piss-poor crap WWA steel and put it into a nice slip, that´s for me the most greedy approach out there.

4601 + shipping wowzer.
I've got a technical question regarding the HDN fees, why are they charged on the price of the edition + on the cost of the PP fee? It's not much, but it certainly works out to more than 7.5%... over 8%.

I've noticed many people have a different definition of premium than me, thats cool.. and I guess starting this year some of their editions *are* nice... still max on par with other premium retailers, but a lot more expensive

I’ve been waiting for this release for so long but now it’s available... crikey... priorities change, life changes, and I really can’t justify the cost of this, the completist in me is screaming after buying the terminator, T3 and genisys from FA, but I just can’t do it, I’ll make do with the endo arm edition for my premium edition of T2

It goes off the price of what the GB host puts in, so if they are accounting for their fees then sure that happens. I cannot speak or attest to what each host accounts to in deciding how much they need. Paypal fees in general are very convoluted these days as different Countries have diff paypal fees. So its not something we can control simply based on that. However we do not charge or ask for their to be any HDN fees for any shipping costs. So a GB host doesnt have to offer a "one cost total shipped price" and can bill shipping later so there are no fees. Some stil use system but diff category for shipping charges only which also incur no fees.

What I can speak on is blufans pricing in regards to paypal fees. Some buyers here their Countries take a much larger percent of the sale where as some take less. Obviously when pricing we know we need to get X per edition and that doesn't always happen and we take a bit in the shorts due to where some people live (paypal fees by Country incoming payment) vs. others. But its already confusing for many to see 4-5 GBs for the same movie (diff editions) so instead of charging more and breaking that down out further by Country we try to hope that its a bit of a wash in that some Countries fees are less. I'm almost positive we are not winning in that area of fees in those instances but we aren't losing overall so its just something we keep the same for all. If that makes sense. I've kind of looked at it like its the Community in the whole that is keeping the price the same for all.

I guess technically a host could not account for pp fees at all and then put them in the shipping payment, (maybe some do that, depends on relationship with retailers) but then they are likely short in money securing items and not withstanding that there are plenty of times karel or HDN or others get shafted and stuck with 1 or multiple editions that unless marvel can be quite challenging at times to move on easily thus the price of the premium stuff only can take 1 edition sometimes to have done all the work for nothing or be in the hole. Just depends on the editions and stuff. Lots of stuff happens in background people never see. I just did a GB myself where person paid for item, with shipping to be billed later I was able to get shipping price of the lowest of the low from USA to other Country and this person who never paid the shipping despite paying the item would never respond to PMs ... now they've finally responded months later and say shipping is too high ($14) and want a refund. They will win that with paypal yet they waited till after my return window on the item that I DO NOT WANT to even tell me this. Not to mention returning an item for someone cause they changed their mind would be a pain in the ass to start, let alone waiting till after return window just sticking it to me. And in this case, HDN. This was a mini GB, so the few bucks HDN was to make for this is not only zero it's a loss now due to this person.

Thank you @Wreck for the in depth explanation, much more detail than I was hoping for. Obviously a lot goes into this we regular folk never see.
