I remember the German Inception Steelbook had a plastic slipcover if I'm not mistaken.

As did the original German release of Sherlock Holmes :scat:

I wish those plastic slips were used more. Much more durable than paper or cardboard (you can actually keep them on the Steelbook without it looking rubbish) and offer a little bit of protection against scratches too :)

Pretty annoying. I just went through the whole sign up process on kimchidvd to create an account (bday, address, phone, etc) only to never receive the confirmation email, not even in my spam folder.

I begrudgingly gave all that info (most sites don't ask for all that up front until you place and order) based on the positive support here, but it didn't give me much gain.

Hmmm... thats strange, I created a new account for a friend yesterday without a single problem. It was done in like 40 seconds...

I may need to try another email, but can't do that til later. If I can successfully get ahold of this T2 one from kimchidvd, and successfully get ahold of that Salvation one from the Ebay seller, I might go steelbook route with the Terminator series. Still not 100% certain though, as I really really like that full quadrilogy digipack here is the US.

Did you do the redundancy check bit on the e mail address? For some reason you have to do that even if youre sure no one else has the same address...
I had to do that yesterday...

Well, there have been other releases with slipcovers made of plastic, though not necessarily Steelbooks:) So, who knows...I will wait for any updates-thanks Choi and everyone else working to release this!

What material was the slip on 2.0? Paper?

I didn't. I just clicked the sign up button and it immediately popped up with "Check your email".

I will try that redundancy button though. Thanks.

Look, basically all I'm asking for is a bit of honesty. If the print run was increased from 1500, I want this to be fully disclosed, don't insult my intelligence. To be honest, it makes perfect sense to increase the print run, as businesses exist to make money. Why sell 10 TV's when you can sell 10 000? I believe in the beginning, the print run was 1500. But interest is so great, that this print run has increased multiple times. Just be upfront about it, thats all. I realize this can be hard if you've said it 1000 times before, and now go back on what was said can be hard. But it would be the right thing to do.

As for the people who don't like my post, even though these posts are my own views, they are ultimately about all of us. All of us are collectors of steels, or we wouldn't be in this forum. For some odd reason, I'm always the one that speaks out. I know for a fact that there are many people that agrees with me, but for some reason, are keeping silent. I don't mind this job. I want it be know to all that if you are releasing a steel here, you better have all your I's dotted and T's crossed. Because theres this Stevo guy that is not afraid, and will ask you the tough questions. Its a tough and thankless job, but someones gotta do it.

Yes, but thats precisely what I mean :hilarious:

When they say check your e-mail, they dont mean go to your email in box and wait for a mail... They mean the redundancy check!! So do this and you are OK
You know they try their best with the english... Its better than a site in korean :scat:

Like collecting multiple sealed copies of rare Steelbooks?

I really do find your posts hilarious at times, especially how you refer to yourself in the third person :hilarious:

we have a direct contact with Choi who's been reaalllly helpful by helping us getting this exclusive.

He told us NUMEROUS times that THIs exclusive is 1500. Can we please STOP arguing this qty please.

This is the release thread, but we (your mod team) have been trying our best to keep all the necessary infos in OP. So if you're not sure about the print run, please look back the OP. ;)

Inception is still one of my favourite steelbooks, really like the slip. More so because it meant it arrived safely from Germany, despite the mailer being torn to shreds, with the steelbook poking out. If it hadn't had the plastic slip, I hate to think what state it would have been in.

:hilarious: now that! is funny stuff right there. thanks for the clarification.

as an update (which may help others here)... I did click the redundancy button, and it worked perfectly well. I was able to create an account.

However, after having just realized that the T3 steelbook is only available from Germany with German text all over the place, I am rethinking the whole thing. I may just stick with the slick digipack afterall.

I wouldn't let that stop me! Order this and maybe a better T3 will come out later. You might be sorry if you don't get this now...
