2003 is better than 1974 by a country mile and I am not afraid to admit that.

2013 was poorly written but well directed. It seemed as thought a child wrote this one.

I must admit gents, I consider myself a big horror fan, especially of older films like The Omen (Damien: Omen 2 being one of my favorite films), Friday the 13th, Halloween, but the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.......I was very disappointed with it.

Having said that, I do plan on picking up the original on DVD steelbook, to give another chance.

There is no way the 2013 is better then the original.
One there were no dates on the tombstones in the grave yard. Two if is in fact a continuation then why do they have a 20ish looking paying a person that should have been in the 40's?
It was the worst thing that Lionsgate was able to buy this franchise. They will mass produce it to the sheep like Saw.

That being said haha, I will get this as I enjoy the franchise. Again I don't think this one was great but it is watchable. If you are drunk and have a lot of friends over for a laugh.

There is a new 4K remastered disc of the original (well sourced, not actual 4k if you know what I mean) coming this Halloween apparently so best to check back then

But back to this one, shame Lionsgate didn't include the 3D version with this.

I just watched this on Netflix expecting to turn it off within 20 minutes based on reviews here but i have to say I actually enjoyed it, i like the look of the steelbook too so i may try and get an order in for this.
