The Apple Sucks thread

I love my iphone but that damn thing sucks now....it used to shut off randomly even at like 95% and it would tell me to charge it. Now it wont even turn on even after charging it all day and night, only the apple logo comes on. i read somewhere that I just need to reset it but than Ill lose everything since I havent been able to back it up on itunes, cuz there's some kind of an error everytime i try. I just need to wait to March till my contract runs out...than on to the next one...iPhone 4

Yeah. I have it on my iPad at the moment. But I heard they pulled it today... So i'm not sure how it works now. Since I own it do I keep it... Or will it be removed since they took it out of the store...

oh I had no idea they took it out. That sucks! I did load up a bunch of movies on the ipad and they do look good. VLC was the only thing that kept me from selling the ipad day one lol Converting the videos to ipad format sucks.

Yeah... Apparently it wasn't VLC that put it on there, it was a port...

Apple pulls VLC from the iTunes store

Looks like VLC's role as champion of open-source legal rights is no more -- rather than lawyer up, Apple's taken the easy way out, and simply removed the VLC media player from the App Store. Rémi Denis-Courmont -- the VideoLAN developer who originally sued to have it removed -- reports that an Apple attorney informed him that the company had complied with his takedown request, and pulled the app accordingly, which likely puts the kibosh on other potential VLC ports as well. If you think about it, the open-source community may have just planted the first brick in a walled garden of its own.

i like apple just because my ipod nano 2 gen from 2006 is still kicking and the battery life stays strong still...as many times i've dropped it and had it playing music for sweet forever..it works as brand new.

ipad?..meh...they got a tablet that's no glasses 3D & maybe even windows 7 i'll check it out :]

Lol at this thread, oh what have i missed!

Lol. Me too. Funny thread tho.

Ive used many mac products: ipod, mac desktops, mac book, iPad.

Overall they are decent products.. I didn't like any of their computers tho. Just not for me, and I used them at school everyday in our lab.

The thing that I get most frustrated with Apple is how much they nickel and dime you. Ipod and iPad peripherals are so expensive. Paid $500 for my wifes iPad and then she has to spend an extra $30 for an SD card adapter? Give me a break! My pc from 2007 has a card reader standard.

Other thing that bothers me is when ppl gloat about how their macs are more reliable than any pc. Uhhhhh, no! Had so many problems with the macs in our labs, and my sister just bought a mac book 2 years ago and its already really slow.

Overall they do a good job, but that's cause they ate built with high quality materials. Yes, compare a $1500 macbook with a $600 pc, it better perform better. But I have two high end pc's: desktop from 2004 and a laptop from 2007 and they both are still going strong

Honestly, I think it's all about ease of use. Mac OS X is fairly simple to use. There is also this believe that there are no viruses and spyware for Mac, that's completely untrue (care to argue go and google it). Fact is, there are far less issues with virus on Mac because a lot less people use it and people aren't going to bother with it.

Now, as far as software goes Mac is still far behind. Support is increasing slowly, but nowhere near the support Windows has. That's just the truth.

I like Apple products, not all mind you. I had an iPhone and got rid of it 8 months later. It is just simply not good for corporate use. I also dislike the fact that Apple continuously keeps holding back features that other phones have had for years and year and then they turn around to tell you that it's next big revolutionary thing because is apple. If I'm paying top dollar for an item it better have all the nice bells and whistles that other top dollar phones have. PERIOD. I can't believe it took Apple 2 revisions to have 3G and MMS in their phone when every other smartphone in the past 7 years had 3G and MMS already! But hey if you like to pay 500 bucks for a new iPhone every year for one new feature, then that's good for you.

At the end of the day Apple products will please some and not others. I like my iphone now that is just an ipod and I am never going back to use it as a phone. I have a macbook that I like using, but it just isn't good enough to replace my Windows system and that's just me. It's all about ease of use for many individuals.

Wish I had found this earlier! Not a mac fan in teh least.... I avoid "i" everything simply because I hate the nickel-and-dime approach that mobius mentioned. I too have used macs many times, the computers labs were all mac when I was in college. In fact, they were the brand-new, state-of-the-art G3(I think) at the time and I still didnt like them. There is no reason for a macbook to cost so much more than a similar PC either, especially when the software support is so lacking.
