Actually might cancel this one despite loving the movie and Scorsese. Looks too similar to Cloud Atlas, and out of the two (so far anyway, unless the back to this really wows me), Cloud Atlas wins.

I have no idea how, but I am just now finding out that I completely missed this. I clicked into this thread to find out when it was going live, only to see a few people saying they can't believe they missed this, only to then click back several pages and see it sold out in less than 24 hours.

Crazy how that can happen.

At any rate, I will look out for the cancellation stock to come back.

I saw this go live and it sold out in what seemed like under 20 minutes. Won't be surprised if Zavvi are keeping the left-over stock until release date. Isn't that the Zavvi way these days?

The Aviator limited steelbook was Limited to 2000 units
It was sold out in about 23 hours hours not 20 minutes
It went live on 11-01-2014 about 17.30 (5.30pm)
It sold out on 12-01-2014 about 16.00 (4pm)
I got my order in on 11-Jan-2014 05:43PM

Any bulk orders above 5 may get cancelled and usual declined credit cards and orders cancelled by the customer
You will only see a very small amount of stock show back for sale close to release Date which is still to be decided

Any stock that returns on site will be cancelled orders or declined orders
don't expect there will lot when that happens and they will sell out very fast

Just keep checking for info on this site for news if it will be live again (Cancelled Orders) or check Zavvi yourself but remember it wont be around for long if and when that happens

Finding the info is easy - go back through the comments find the 1st "It's Gone Live" and 1st "It's Sold Out" posts and you have a time frame.

If I'm not mistaken, 31/12/2014 is the date shown at Zavvi, but I'm sure that's just as a place-holder. "Thor" had the same info before, but now it shows the actual release date (March, something).

I was able to order two, thank the Steelbook gods. A spare just in case. A potential trade....Scorsesse & DiCaprio are a dream team. Love everything teach of them do together or separately it's a must buy for me. I was think, it would look cool if the art work was similar to the con air Steelbook.
