Nice find GER, I spend a couple of hours Googling for news on digibooks practically every day, and never discovered this one! This is one I´ve got to have!:oohyeah:

This would be first exclusive to CA, which would be odd ... I wonder if USA will end up getting it.

I'd be very surprised if you didn't a release of this in the US. Great choice by Universal for their first digibook though!

Now the big question is whether there will be any new features over previous DVD releases and will the disc encode be the same one as used for the HD-DVD version released in 2007? I have that version and it is pretty impressive, but given the higher capacity of BD we can hope for a new even better transfer for the new issue.

Very strange, the item has now been removed from the Canadian Amazon site. You can't search for it, and the link added by GER no longer works!

Perhaps Amazon.ca jumped the gun, and put it up too soon, although August is not that far away! Hopefully this adds further credibility to it getting a US release as well.

This is now showing on Amazon.com with the "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available." message. We will watch and wait!

Latest info about this digibook here

awesome, wonder where they will put the rating logos tho ... hopefully not on the book.

As I understand it, the BBFC rules insist that the rating logos for the UK must be printed on the packaging of the disc and cannot be in the form of removal stickers. All of you Steelbook collectors will know if this is true, better than me. I know that some German steels have removal stickers, but UK versions?

true grit (uk) was the first with a rating logos sticker.
im sure there was none before that release, all printed.

That's interesting, perhaps they relaxed the rules. I also have an idea at the back of my mind that I have seen a standard blu-ray release of something which only had the ratings logo on the spine.
