The film is alright and the ending is obviously emotional, but this is an easy pass for me. The artwork for some unknown reason is not working for me, however the back looks alright.

To be fair i dont think its the movie, i think its the fact they chose this instead of many others. I dont think i have ever seen a "i want this movie in steelbook form" for this film. Just a weird one. Im into all the ww2 holocaust stuff and i went to auschwitz in april. Just a weird choice for steelbook lol

Well I am happy to see this as a steelbook, I went to Auschwitz this year as well and am very interested in this part of history. I do not really collect movies that are not steelbooks, if it's not a steel I don't have it in any other form, so this is a good opportunity to get a film I rate on my shelf.
Everyone keeps saying it's a weird choice because there are so many other movies to choose from, but why is it weird, just because it's not the same genre as all the other steelbooks out there? Just because you personally do not rate this particular film? There is nothing wrong with a bit of variety.

Let me guess.

500 copies
£27.99 each

This would be the only way to sell this one out. Low numbers. You could sell a plain steelbook with a fart inside it if it was numbered out of 500 or less :naughty:

i never said it was a bad film mate,i just don't think its going to be very popular, and theres many movies that people would rather see on SB than this.

I don't think Zavvi have a clue about what kind of films SteelBook collectors want, or will buy. I may be entirely wrong, but I'm guessing this isn't at the top of anybody's SteelBook wishlist. Zavvi have to learn that we won't buy any old crap just because it's a SteelBook, limited or otherwise. They're already struggling to sell off stock of many much better blockbuster film titles such as Die Hard, Transformers 2 & 3, Captain America, Iron Man 3, Independence Day etc

My only thoughts are that this has been forced upon Zavvi by the studio, rather than one they have specially requested themselves, hence why there will be a smaller print run - No doubt a 4K print run will be shared between countries rather than entirely for the UK market

Much, much better film titles in who's opinion though? With the exception of Die Hard, this movie is rated higher, on IMDB, than all the other titles you mention. It's all a matter of personal taste.

Atleast it's not a great release that's being limited much like pain and gain and jack reacher, I don't care about the release so I just passed on them. If it was say, snatch and it sold out in less than an hour and I missed it, I'd be like  :hilarious:

Why the f&%k movies that nobody heard of receive such a nice steelbook, but Disney Classic like The Little Mermaid has such a lazy design.:(:(

i just watched the trailer for this, and going by that and some IMDB reviews it looks like a very good movie to me.

there's a huge difference between a "good" movie and a "popular" movie, i think.

+ i understand you guys' worries about that exceptionally weird title choice, and maybe it's not popular enough for justifying an extra steelbook release, but it's certainly not a bad movie, and i am happy it's not only iron man or t2 steelbook rerereleases all the time.

edit: and the artwork is top notch brilliant!!
