The Burning (Blu-ray SteelBook) [UK]

Apart from relying on cancellations I see no reason not to order this from Movie Mail but as has been pointed out already if MM didn't order their stock from Arrow before it "Sold out" our orders will not be fulfilled and we'll either have to pay above retail on the secondary market, buy it unsealed (shock, horror) or just wait for the Amaray release which surely can't be too far away (?) and which is as always a top class product. nearly always with reversible artwork etc.
Regarding Movie Mail: Been with them since 2010 and never had a problem but in this case I hope they haven't bitten off more than they can chew as I've tried - without success - to get what I consider to be an appropriate and helpful response about whether they are offering a product for sale that they are actually going to have in stock by release date:-

Can you check with your superiors that Movie Mail did order stock of THE BURNING (STEELBOOK) before it sold out everywhere else?
Even though I placed my order for this item with you I don't want to get my hopes up only to have them dashed if you cannot fulfil the order or, in other words, did Movie Mail place a stock order BEFORE it sold out ?
I trust you can see what I'm trying to say.

We are expecting a release date for this product on 10/10/16. We will not have the product in stock until the release date, after which we will dispatch the item to you as soon as it is made available. As far as we are aware we are still expecting stock to arrive and be sent out as normal.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear as it looks like we may have a misunderstanding . . .
To elaborate: my concern is related to the stock of this title that you may or may not have already ordered from Arrow Films and, as I'm sure you are aware if you have not placed your stock order with Arrow Films before the stock sold out, then my order will not be worth the piece of paper on which it is printed.

Arrow Video only have a steelbook Blu-ray getting a release
There is no standard amaray blu-ray release with Arrow Video so the movie mail listing is a steelbook
UK/USA is only getting a steelbook release
Arrow may decide to release an amaray version next year but for now they have only announced the steelbook version as a release

Movie Mail recently upped their price to GBP 22.99 which, plus P&P, makes this the most expensive of the retailers who will / may stock it:-

Reluctantly had to order from mm because I missed the zavi preorder.
Got it including p&p for &18ish, just hope it arrives ding free.

LOL you should have just ordered it when pre-order went live instead of trying to save a couple of penny's hoping the price will drop! It was only £17.99 that's a great price for Special edition steelbook of The Burning!
I would be wary of Movie Mail for Arrow Video Pre Orders
There is posts on Facebook that some members did not get some previous arrow video pre orders from Movie Mail when these releases were sold out with other retailers
They got a reply they tried to order but was not available
That reply suggests they don't provide arrow with a order before release date in time

Yes, I'm not sure how much confidence I have in my Movie Mail order and their replies don't do anything to inspire or to help.
What I think I'll be doing is re-ordering from Zavvi as soon as they put it back up for sale (after they cancel the multiple scalper orders) . . . unless, of course, they do something iffy with the price . . .
Regarding paying full price for an Arrow steelbook: I think I can honestly say that this will be the VERY FIRST time - out of the approx. 35 Arrow steels bought previously - that I find myself forced to pay full price or more for an Arrow steelbook.

Thanks. But i need this steel. Hopefully some cancellation become available from zavi, if so I'll cancel my mm order and recieve a damaged copy from zavi 
couldn't agree more. Not only is this a badass steelbook, but as we all know arrow titles come packed with special features, £17.99 is a bargain imo
I finally got around to watching this last night for the first time on DVD. It was okay. The effects for its time were good and the production was far superior to that of Sleepaway Camp. Even picked up a few faces of people that became more known over time in Hollywood. The whole time i was waiting for the killer to remove his hat and show his face to be that of Jerry Seinfeld! 
Ordered this release in july together with The Hills have eyes, but today received an e-mail from zavvi that the order has been cancelled due to a problem with the payment from my Paypal account. Called to Paypal, appparently the reservation period is passed after 2 months. I sent a mail to zavvi to change my payment method, not possible! Someone any experience with this problem or any idea how to solve it? Getting very annoyed from the standard helpdesk answers at zavvi....Thanks...
