I hate it. Preordered this one in the shop which name I forgot in the meantime for a good price. But everyone knows how this ends. The shop won't have enough and tomorrow it's sold out at Amazon. HMV is no option because they don't ship to Germany. Hate it.

Yes, Zavvi also bound to have cancellations too and expecting more there than at HMV and Amazon combined . . . what with cancellations of multiple orders by Zavvi of this desirable title.

Unfortunately you are experiencing firsthand the almost unbelievable level of inflexibility in the Zavvi / The Hut web store implementation.

The customer can't change the payment method or shipping address after an order has been placed. Their customer service can't change the payment method or shipping address after an order has been placed.

The only solution is to reorder with changed details and obviously that doesn't work for OOS items.

at once, they changed the software so I was able to pay with credit card, so this morning the message: the burning has been shipped.

So I managed to order myself a copy from HMV now and decided to cancel my order with Movie Mail since it was likely (going by other user's pre order experiences) that they were not going to fulfill it.

I just received a reply this morning from Movie Mail:

I hope there'll be some copies available at Zavvi. I've no credit card, so I couldn't order off Amazon UK yesterday. If anybody could tag me in the unlikely (?) case there's a restock at Zavvi, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Phew I ordered my Burning from H.M.V yesterday and it has jus this minute been sent out. Hope it arrives dint free as replacements maybe very hard to get.
