Yeah aside from that its perfect condition!
You have to look close at it in bright light to see it at least.

Mine too, no chips etc.. once I put a plastic shell on it, I'll never see it. . It will match all my other steelbook's with various slight defects :hilarious:

Im getting some shells from Masterblaster along with my Elysium GB!
Only getting 10 atm so will see how I find them before getting more.

Honestly, I've given up trying/hoping to get mint, collector worthy steels. Bad QC + horrible packaging, retailers that don't really care, and international shipping pretty much ruins any chance to getting these things in the condition you would expect them to be in (can't even find them locally in good condition, most of the time). Of course, if you don't open them, it's hard to see all the little dings and hidden scratches awaiting underneath that J-card and plastic wrap ;). I've had countless steels that appeared to be perfectly 'mint' until they were opened... With that being said, I'm surprised mint, already opened steels aren't actually worth more than the ones with that little scratch/chip hider still on.

(I've purchased over 120 of these in the last 2 or so months and have opened 90+% of them. Probably only 20 of them, being generous with that, are actually worthy of being called mint condition).

I 100% agree.. I open all my steels and I would say I only have a few that are minty mint, all the little blemishes the steels get happen before they're shrink wrapped then there's all the knocks & dings they receive in transit etc.. true mint steelbooks should be worth more then sealed ones, if I ever buy from third party, I always prefer to buy unsealed first, with a good description, no nasty surprises that way (accept when it turns up in a jiffy bagEEK!).

Gonna get told off for going off topic here:emb:,
totally happy with this awesome steelbook, great artwork:scat:

I too received one with a horizontal line across the film title - Although interestingly, it doesn't mark the actual embossed part at all, and seems to run behind it.

So am I to assume that some people received theirs without this scratch? If so, mine's going back for a replacement! Has anyone alerted Zavvi to this defect? Are they aware of it?

I do have the same scratch, have not opened it or contacted Zavvi yet.

Amazon drops the price by 3~4 GBP/EUR few days after the release date. It has happened so many times, in fact countless times. It is no surprise that Zavvi is doing this. Glad that I waited and grabbed a copy for less but who knows, the price may drop again.

Yep, extremely hard to see unless you shine light at it from a certain angle. See the last image.

I got 2 copies and both had that scratch where the title is. On one of them it's very faint and you really have to catch the light to see it. On the other it's quite a deep score mark and runs right across the steel. Definitely a manufacturing defect so it's probably on at least 90% of copies, but it seems to vary a lot in how severe it is. One of mine I'll keep, but the other one will have to go back.
