I can get the TDK lenti for a decent price at the minute, thought I wasn't that keen on it but looking at it again I'm quite tempted to get it before it shoots up.

It is when the retail is $339. I see we are scalper friendly lol good old U.S. of A huh. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean it’s right. It’s the only reason why murder is illegal, cuz they haven’t figured out a way to make it profitable.

Although I wouldn't list the retail as 339$, because that's not what the end consumer paid. Shipping alone was about 60-80$ for the Set.

Yeah, just as a reference GBs charged $450-500 for the OC. I'm not saying $900 is a good price (because it isn't), but I guess ebay sellers would have to list it at $600+ just to make their money back, once you factor in fees and forward shipping.

Yes I was being sarcastic, it's an insane price especially for a set where you have so many other options. One of the earliest eBay listings was $900 but they dropped it to merely $600 when they had no takers.

I actually stayed up till 5am or whatever it was trying to order direct only to see it sold out in seconds, felt pretty stupid for doing that. Normally I don't have a problem with people reselling things for (reasonable) profit but that's only when it's not something incredibly limited, guess I'm not a fan of the whole buy it within a minute or gtfo approach.

I mimic your feelings, but I've just accepted it is the way it is. I would never have gone direct for this one. Weet are probably the worst to go direct for, particularly with TDK when so many copies went via GB. I'm just happy to have gotten my TDK lenti.

Yeah group buy was definitely the way to go but I hadn't really been aware/planned on it so missed the boat, plus I rarely ever do GBs so direct seemed the right option... I'm still trying to source a reasonably priced copy but Nolan's Batman trilogy has plenty of premium options so I kinda feel like it's a bad choice to try and gouge people on.

Saying that my original plan was to get the Manta Lab version but thanks to the 'healthy' reseller mark up I'm stilling missing a TDK slip.

Yeah it is a bit saturated now, but that hasn't stopped the manta ones flying and fetching a pretty penny. It has knocked down the prices of the blufans TDK, though. There's a few semi reasonably priced ones on ebay now.

i got it for just under $120 which i thought was fair given how quick it went when they went up on WeEt and since that one is listed around $180+ on most other places I've seen it on (or eBay). I got TDKR lenti direct from WeEt but that ended up coming to basically $100 once postage was added so I figured just $20 more in this case (including postage) was pretty good.
