I'm really struggling... I so desperately want to open them as they are too cool to keep wrapped... but don't want to lose any trade/resale value by doing so... oh, woe is me!! 
At sharky why be bothered about value, most buy these to have them in there own collection to enjoy not sell them or worry about future value.

I will be opening mine... IF! I wanted to sell the on in the future if they are in mint condition and hard to find Im sure you would not have a problem selling these on.
They do look awesome but they are so expensive with shipping and possible customs fees that im still hesitating on them.... maybe when i see some real pics i can decide if its worth it...
Let's just say the shipping to US is less than to UK and surprise, surprise the price is slightly less, so mine is going via US, even is another $40 shipping to pay for a big boxful.

i actually bought the batman begins and dark knight editions from a seller on ebay.
the total charge for the pair delivered comes to £82.50, which is probably roughly what i would have paid amazon japan if i had got them from there, plus i have the added bonus of knowing that is the final amount to pay, as the import duty will already have been taken into account by the seller.

amazon.jp price for 2 steelbook's - 65.55 GBP with express delivery(2-3 days)
yes, it does work out a little more, but i won't be paying import duty when they arrive, so i'm not having to deal with extra payments on top.
buying these from amazon japan and paying for them on a credit card would make the total around the £70 mark, as the credit card companies always seem to charge a little more for international transactions.
add onto that the import duty charges.
the final amount will probably be more around the £80 mark.
i guess one of the other reasons i bought them from ebay was for the peace of mind that if they arrive damaged i only have to return them to the seller in the UK, not amazon japan.
worth it for that alone.

Hi everyone, ordered these early Feb, and have been following this thread since. I ordered Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Bladerunner & Matrix. Like everyone on here I'm desperate to see how they will actually look. Not long!

TDK shipped today (or is that yesterday in Japan? Or tomorrow?).
I placed this order for TDK late last year when it was first available; yesterday I caved & placed an order for the pair of Batman movies. I was afraid to cancel the 1st order for the TDK right away, which was my plan. I was afraid of some kind of glitch leaving me empty-handed. I figured I had at least a day or two to make sure the 2nd order processed OK before cancelling the original. Then...after all this waiting...BAM! It's in the mail. Good news, I guess, but now I'll have two TDKs.

Mine shipped today! 
However I ordered this along with Batman Begins and I emailed Amazon.jp two days ago to add 3 other titles to my order so that I would save on shipping costs. They shipped today before anyone has responded to my email
