Well I got my two this morning. This and Batman Begins. TDK has a scratch across the spine, underneath the shrink-wrap. *sigh*
Every second steelbook I purchase no matter whether it's in-store or online, is damaged. I'm ready to give up after only 2 months of collecting! So frustrated :/

Sorry to hear that Craig, I got a ding on my Gran Torino too, I contacted Amazon about it as it was packed like that, the parcel itself arrived undamaged, it's my first ever issue with Amazon.jp.
Chip I believe there is a waiver you can sign with DHL that allows them to leave the packages on your door step without you being home to sign for it.
Yes there is. I just dont like the thought of packages piled up mile high with nobody at home.

You can't quit. Heck if you seen the pile of steel that is damaged at my place you would have a the big one.
Sorry to butt in, but I have never signed any DHL waiver and my DHL driver(s) always leave my AMZN.JP packages on my porch when no one is home. But they also know not to leave the packages in plain sight.

True, but it declines in appeal as I purchased them mainly for trade pieces. I have the French double and Canadian editions open already.
My DHL girl knows me too I guess. I asked if she needed me to sign and said "I know you already...no need to?"

I do not find the artwork "stunning" by any imagination. We've already seen 2001, Shawshank and Gran Torino in steel. BB and TDK are the same art as digibooks, and TDK in particular is AWFUL. It looks like bad news print. TDK was the one I was looking forward to the most, and when it turned out to be the worst of the bunch, I returned all seven.
A black and white photo can be beautiful. White can be creamy or pearl and look super. These are boring and there's no embossing/debossing to speak of. OK, I'll say it, they suck. Like I said, I don't want these losers near my collection.

Did you get a reply or did you status change after paying?
Mine still has not been altered from Shipment held - Available upon receipt of payment
Sent them an email asking how long it will take before they put them out for delivery.
Think it would have been easier just going to the depot
Mine are still in the Airport sorting
Update: I think my steelbooks are coming without a customs charge *fingers crossed* just checked the tracking & says with delivery courier.
update 2 : 5 minutes after posting the DHL guy shows up I had to pay £13.12p or something stupid like that still the they arrived in mint condition and look brilliant well happy. Think scarface would like amazing with the clean white steelbooks

Gotta say, when I saw the DHL label on my front door yesterday and noticed there wasn't any $ sign next to the customs brokeage fees, I didn't believe it...
When I got home tonight (yes, yesterday I signed the little waiver to allow them deliver it to my side door hidden from the street), I was like
