Well that was an underwhelming experience. In my local Best Buy (Palm Desert) they had 'hidden' the Dark Knight Rises at the back of one of the displays, facing the refridgerators and other kitchen appliances. I would have liked to pick up one of the Mattel remote controlled TDKR toys but of course they didn't have the ones I wanted.

The 'Finding Nemo' display was slightly better, with a Nemo or Squirt plush for $4.99 if you bought the movie.

Just got back from Best Buy. They had at least 100 of them on the shelf and another 100 on the cart. :hilarious:

I bet over 100k were printed just for North America.

Yeah mine had endless copies and they were all pristine. Even the one I ordered from bb online in its crap packaging came perfectly.

The best buy I went same! A lot of them, I opened one of mine and im really disappointed on this release! Mate finish, lame art, the other regular editions are better, not to mention the diggi from TArget, I was looking forward to this release, I even thought this could be one of the best steels from the year, but now that's out of the question...:(

Your welcome!

I also just downloaded the "Bonus" pre-order doc that BB was advertising as well...I can also confirm the pre-order doc is ALSO 38 minutes long...they are EXACTLY the same.

Was anybody else getting charged an optional $14.99 for the Digital Copy of the Documentary? I of course prefer Physical media so I decline but damn $14.99 for DC:mad: Forget that :D

Almost every copy at my store had paint nicks in the bottom left corner and if they didn't the spine plates were all misaligned. Finding a good one was kind of pain.

I must have looked insane looking through them all. My store got like 50+

I was looking them over too and a sales associate asked me if I needed help. I told him I was trying to pick one out without any damage. He told me that they are brand new and there shouldn't be anything wrong with them. I told him they are made of metal and some are scratched. I then over heard him call the steelbook a tin to a customer. Just shows you how little retailers know about the steelbook product.

Seriously though, the first store I went to had some badly damaged product. Several of the steelbooks were crooked they were dented so badly. Those shouldn't even make it to the sales floor.

For the first time I could ever remember a movie went straight to the disc menu without previews, etc...

The way it should, woot

They wanted to charge me that and I declined, I was getting the steelbook for almost $6.00(with $20 Certificate) no way I was paying $14.99:D

Yeah buddy, it shows up as 14.99 charge and then is backed out on the receipt. So you paid nothing for it. They sent me one for my online order by email.

spawn, you should have picked up the flyer at the entrance and asked the CS reps to find one for you. Some stores are hiding them in the back to wait out the sale price (regular price $39.99). I stumbled on a store doing this during a short weekend trip and the assistant manager told me the Spider-man steelbook was not for sale when it was clearly advertised in the flyer.:angry:

Good luck!

Good advice....I'll check my store near work tomorrow. If none on the floor, I will do.

Um, wow....I just check availability online, and my local store says Unavailable - they must have not gotten their shipment, because every other store in the area has them.
