I just finished watching it and I was saying the same thing to myself!

maybe its because i am in the house and there is less distracting noises but it just seemed much clearer, especially in the beginning of the movie. I saw it twice in the theater and barely understood what he was saying but on first go this time I actually understood him

and to think if batman hadn't wasted 6 hours gassing up the bridge with his symbol the detonator would have read 6:01 at the end, a lot less dramatic :hilarious:

Good advice....I'll check my store near work tomorrow. If none on the floor, I will do.

Um, wow....I just check availability online, and my local store says Unavailable - they must have not gotten their shipment, because every other store in the area has them.

Dang spawn, sorry for the bad luck :(! Maybe not a good sign for that store's future perhaps.

Went out to get mine at lunch time. :D

I was thinking of calling out from work for this. :naughty:

Store had more than i expected like you guys have mentioned. I picked up a couple as usual one to open and the other to keep sealed. No dents or dings but the sandwich wrap all seem to have some flaws.

I must've gone thru 20-30 copies before grabbing a near perfect one. About half either had the chipped paint corner or the spine seemed out of place. But I got one...:D

So upon opening my steelbook to watch the film I noticed under the shrink wrap there were several scratches which pissed me the hell off! Almost like the steel was rushed. Went back to my local BBY and snagged a couple more copies after digging and digging through them making sure they are mint! The BBY employees probably think I'm a nut! Inspect your copies guys!!!!

On another note about "Banes voice" I have a professionally calibrated system and seen this film in IMAX twice and I must say his voice is identical to the IMAX release! I remember seeing the original prologue in IMAX and I couldn't understand crap he was saying. Here is an interesting YouTube video I'd like to share with you all regarding this change

Obviously not a deal breaker but never the less I hate it when they do sh!t like this :( where was everyone's security sticker at? Mine was on the back of the j card. I heated it up and got it off but with a little damage. Now I have to go buy another one lol

my bestbuy had about 100+ on day one..they display about 40 of them. Since they didn't have any more room, I saw a cart with 60+ on it and the was rolling it back into the warehouse.

USA has the poorer quality vs other countries. I'm returning my bestbuy copy later this week. I used my thumb to remove a "dirt" underneath the wrap...to find out that it was part of the paint. A piece of the paint has chipped off just by using my thumb. Too funny...

I checked my UK copy and there is no damage. None of the ones in HMV seem damaged. Seems like a US issue.

The Sandusky, OH Best Buy had 50+ of these Steelbooks on the shelf when I went in and picked up mine. Like others have already mentioned, someone fumbled the ball on this release. My biggest complaint would have to be the fact that they sandwiched the security tag between the j-card and the back of the Steelbook. Ugh, so frustrating! And like others said, I was noticing crooked spines and paint chips, mainly in the groove for opening the case.
My wallet is still hurting after the massive amount of new steelbooks in the US.
I hear ya. I'm excited that the US is finally getting some Steelbook-love but yeah, this hobby sure isn't cheap, especially if you're picking up additional copies to trade... oof! I used to envy our British brethren and their huge weekly SB releases (8-10 at a time, when the US was seeing 0) but now they have my sympathy. I can imagine so many UK collectors going broke just trying to keep up with the new UK releases. At least the pacing of US releases is somewhat manageable (about 1 per week lately.)
Was anybody else getting charged an optional $14.99 for the Digital Copy of the Documentary?
After buying mine I was sitting in my car checking my receipt when I noticed a $0.00 charge for DECLINE DARK KNIGHT REBORN. Curious, I went inside and asked about it. The cashier said they didn't know anything about it (she thought it might be a book offer) and that the store hadn't received any details from the company as to what it was, so they were just automatically declining the offer when ringing out customers. lol, odd.
Some stores are hiding them in the back to wait out the sale price (regular price $39.99). I stumbled on a store doing this during a short weekend trip and the assistant manager told me the Spider-man steelbook was not for sale when it was clearly advertised in the flyer.
Wow... how shady.
