I would have no reservations about cancelling. The only way that you as a customer can influence anything is with your wallet. If you're happy to have releases like this then go ahead, but otherwise register your dissatisfaction by not buying it. How else are we to make a difference to future releases, except by prompting retailers to complain to the distributors?

And yes, it's a shame when a class retailer like K2DVD takes the brunt, because it's not their fault at all, but in the long term they certainly won't be stuck with any cancelled copies, and if anything they will emerge from all of this with MORE customers thanks to their demonstration of excellent CS. I for one will certainly be confident in ordering from them again.

It's really quite simple - if you're happy with the product, or simply want to support the retailer, go ahead with the order. If you're not happy with how the product turned out, and you don't want other products to turn out that way, don't accept it. What other power of vote do you have?

I cancelled and told them the reason for canceling. Hopefully, they will pass the message up the chain...

I only ordered this yesterday and have already cancelled. I also have let KimChi know why.

Actually feel sorry for them as they are stuck in the middle.

I also cancelled mine from K2DVD.
I got this reply;
"Yes, we understand your point. One has no reason to buy
from far place if the product is same. What we cannot understand
is why the distributor did it this time while – as far as we recall -
all other steelbooks came with slipcover. Really mysterious..."

I'm guessing they are not so happy with the Korean distributor.

Taiwan (slip) & Singapore (extra goodies) all the way now as I truly doubt the Japanese one will have any slip, maybe a sticker but that's about it, having said it I do have the Japanese one on preorder but might end up cancelling it too.

I have cancelled it.The Way i see it is.. If I needed to pick this up it should still be about for a while, so many people are turned off by it not having the slip at the bottom. Still VERY dissapointed about this

Does anyone know if this one has the booklet and filmcell like Japan?

No, Japan and Singapore have them but this one is so Plain Jane it almost looks like a bootleg. With all of the TDKR releases worldwide, I can't imagine anybody but the most diehard of completists wanting one.

thanks...based on the pic, it looks like BestBuy releases...plain jane as you refer...it looks like many of the other countries releases as well LOL.... and yes, it's nothing special.

it's the same steelbook from hmv.com, bestbuy.com with the blu slip on top.

You are guys are freaking hilarious.

That looks bad even the wrapping is woeful

Can anyone open their copies and tell me if it's a 2 blu-ray discs? I don't want a DVD disc. I want hi-def content..not dvd content.
