I don't sell any of my SB, I open up all of them regardless of value... I just like the thought that only a small amount is made.

I am the same. I like the feeling of owning something unique. Is that a crime? It seems that if you say you don't like re-releases, then you get branded a scalper. It's all well and good saying 'oh I missed out this is great news', but when you've spent as much on this hobby as myself and many other members, new collectors will realise why we find re-releases annoying.

Its funny how you can start a conversation on here and state a few hard facts. Then a mod comes along and deletes the post because they dont like it. What ever happened to opinions and free speech.

Parkman, few posts vs. the 1000's of posts and threads created here each week, are ever deleted-it's nothing personal-your posts along with several others by other members were removed because they were inciteful. People collect for all kinds of reasons-some keep them sealed, some open them, and some resell-it's the nature of any limited items, like comic books, posters, Steelbooks, etc. There are specific threads in the 'Chat' area to discuss different preferences, and collector types-our Mod staff works hard to create a balance here and keep the actual movie threads clean. We also ask members to respect the 'shades of gray' that exist within this hobby. We see disagreement all the time, and that is perfectly fine, but we ask via our general forum guidelines that members remain respectful with each other, as they would hopefully do offline, so that the type of 'combative' environment that is present on some other forums doesn't get created here. Thanks for your understanding!

being new to steelbooks, i'm in the camp that prefers uniformity.

the white-ish batman steels are cool, but i already own begins and knight in the US versions. when i do land a steel of DKR it will be of the shattered mask. fortunately those keep showing up at ebay cheaper and cheaper. i guess the market was saturated with them. good for me.

Well I understand completely, but I was just stating opinion and was not nothing inciteful really. Just opinion and few facts thats it.

Each time they release one it is still limited to that qty they print that time. Steel runs are still more limited than Amarays, but I agree that Warner is overdoing it a bit much with the same titles. Alas, they and all studios will continue to release them, as long as people buy the 'meat and potatoes' titles. Been happening for years...
