as this has a 12+ rating i would defo guess its the cut version,,
I don't think so, because what gets an "18+" rating in the UK or an "R" rating in the US often gets a "12+" rating in France

.
Porn, Nymphomaniac Part 2 (= artistic porn) and Saw III (= torture porn) are the only things that get a "18+" rating in France, and besides Nymphomaniac Part 1 and the other Saw sequels, I can't recall many films that even got a "16+" rating in theaters over the past years (according to a list I found: Ken Park, Evil Dead (remake), Hostel, Wolf Creek, The Hills Have Eyes (remake), Oldboy and its remake, Funny Games and its remake, The Raid 1 & 2, I Saw the Devil, Irréversible, Frontières, Martyrs got a "16+" rating, and probably only a handful of others).
Fun fact: Nymphomaniac Part 2 got an "18+" rating because a Christian organization lobbyied against the film, otherwise it would have gotten a "16+" rating. And Nymphomaniac Part 1 would have gotten a "12+" rating had it not been for that same Christian group.
For instance, Wolf of Wall Street got a 18+ (UK) /R (US) rating when in France is was "unadvised for children under 12".
Shame, Killer Joe and Blue is the Warmest Color all got a 18+ (UK) / NC-17 (US - rare!) rating and in France they were all simply unsuitable for kids under 12, again. And none of these films have been cut in any way to fit the rating, it's just an extremely lenient system.
It's never been an habit to cut short films when other countries get a "full" cut, so my guess is if it doesn't state that it's the extended / harder / longer / whatever cut, it's because in France that's the only cut there is for sale
