Yeah so Im not only one with this experience. Its terrible now. I got little dent on the Wicker Man edition , but not so bad that I want to go through the hassle of returning it, but they offered only replacement on return, no partial refund or just free replacement like they used to. Problem is the replacement would most likely arrive damaged again so I rather keep the one with small dent, but for a full price. This is something unthinkable 1-2 years ago. Management of CS department must have changed the rules or something and also their CS bots and AI taking over slowly.

I honestly thought it was just me. I had that bad issue with amazon Germany at the start of the year which I posted In our group chat and can’t be bothered to go through it all again but basically was unable to return the item from December last year because the U.K. wasn’t allowing overseas postage for like 2 months at the start of this year and when it lifted, I sent it back and it was returned to me by another countries customs twice which took 2 months in total and they double charged me for the item in the end because they had sent out replacement (last time amazon sent a replacement to me from any country and like you say they want you to return it first now) which they refused to refund. The item arrived damaged in the first place, everytime I got it returned it was in more pieces. I lost out badly there and i never got the 2 postage costs they promised to refund because it kept getting returned to me. Gave up in the end (Looks like I can be bothered to explain again lol)

Oh and also I don’t own a printer and they kept ignoring my messages everytime I asked for more help or if they would refund the return postage cost. They kept ignoring it and sending me the same message. It was infuriating. Far worse than any stupidity I’ve received from zavvi.

So now I really try to avoid amazon if I can. Thankfully the 3 orders I had with US, IT and FR Amazon orders later this year were fine. And I hate that the U.K. site is getting more steel exclusives. These are gona turn up to people’s doorsteps f**ked! It’s gona be a horror show

You don't even have a printer where you work ?

One can find printer(s) that are cheap and pretty good for home use. I could not do without.

Not wasting my money on a printer just so I’m able to print out 1 or 2 things a year. Everywhere else in the U.K. (including Amazon U.K.) have QR codes for returns and if I’m selling on eBay to print postage labels. Go to the post office with the QR and they print it out there for you. But I can’t do that for overseas amazon. And they don’t have QR codes for overseas amazon from the U.K.

You have to pay for return postage and they refund you. Which is fine and has worked fine in the past 10+ years but this year their CS is worse, harder to deal with and becomes a headache

Cancelled my amazon.fr edition that refused to move after supposed 'release date' and preordered one from amazon.uk that actually says 'the exorcist' on the box. Releases oct 23, same as this cursed thing.

I'm still ocassionally clicking on it, just to see the nostalgic error message.

I did it!!! After hundreds of clicks and several weeks of pain. What is going on. Even managed to re-order and change from standard to expedited delivery!

Hopefully it'll land.

If they cancel this I'm going feral mode. Send an exorcist. Preferably pope's. Russell Crowe with double espresso.

Ordered 1 as well, I managed to test the system first and added upto 965 to basket before it threw a wobbly with the red error message saying item not available, so plenty available to order it seems.

I can't see there being 965, half the entire run, being available. That's an error. Hopefully these orders don't get cancelled now.

But what IF thet initially put like 1000 out there? And now another 1000. It's all computers anyway I know, but I guess people are still in charge of some manual stuff.

like I mentioned its one of two things, they had a lot of cancellations like we seen with "payment problems" and so more stock become free or they did not sell 2000 copies and have spare but not 900+ spare.
