It's looking that way... not confirmed until in-hand but no sign of extended and the 2-disc image still live. The Canadian version 2 disc and the Italian mock up is too.. looks like only Walmart in US has 3-disc.
I'm sure I saw a sight that showed only 2 disc edition in steelbook, but the extended cut was listed in the special features.
The extended cut was certainly listed when I pre ordered this. Even mention it on page 1 of this thread.
Thread was updated on July 3 as Amazon UK mockup changed to show only 2 discs was previously showing 3 discs
The new mock up has both UHD and Blu-ray discs with Theatrical Cut.

The UK 4K amaray does have both Extended and Theatrical Cut listed it's not known yet in UK if that's 2 seperate 4K UHD discs or 1 UHD disc with both cuts on same disc.
The UK 4K amaray release looks like does not include Blu-ray of the film.
Until someone gets delivery of UK SteelBook only then will it be known if it has Extended Cut.
Okay but my point is it was listed when I pre ordered form HMV. I haven’t been told that’s changed therefore they will get a complaint if it arrives without it
Amazon have nothing to do with my order so them changing their mock up is useless to me. HMV need to make me aware but as I say it’s too late. I pre ordered with the extended cut info so it’s on HMV to sort it out with me
HMV website removed the mock up that was showing 3 discs a good few weeks ago and they now just have a image of front of the SteelBook instead.
The email HMV sent to customers on May 6 used the 3 disc mock up image
UK SteelBook release might be different to Italy in regards to discs included but that won't be known for sure until in hand with customers.
Italy releases is distributed by Plaion Pictures and no mention of extended cut been included with Italy 4K or Blu-ray releases
UK release is from Universal themselves with Warner doing distribution and does list both Theatrical and Extended cuts is included with UK 4K and Blu-ray amaray releases.
Looking at videos of the Italian and US releases, both have the TC + extras on 4K and blu. The Italian release does not offer the extended cut at all (and doesn't mention it on the jcard), the US does, and provides it on a 2nd 4K disc, but doesn't mention 2 4K discs on the jcard.
The UK amaray states both cuts are included, doesn't specify 2 4K discs either (but no blu-ray, as per WB practice), so logic would say that the extended is included in the steel also, and likely still on a 2nd 4K disc (as in Germany and France, as the UK extended cut also has FR/DE audio.. and yes I know Uni self-distribute in both regions vs WB UK before you say it Paul).

I did, but it isn't. There's more there regarding the US, FR & DE releases (and corresponding UK disc specifications), which just adds weight to what discs are included in the UK release. The steelbook could be different, sure, but apart from amazon changing their mockup, there's no reason to believe it will be.

I canceled my HMV preorder already, and preordered a German release.
Exactly, they were selling one thing, if it has changed, they should notify those with active preorders.
I'm using a forwarder, so it costs me a fee to return anything, so I canceled just in case.

I mean I don't give a **** if it doesn't come with a 1080p copy at all, and I can live with it only having the extended cut. But if this only has the theatrical version, I'm gonna be pissed.

Right, and they could've done it on one disc with seamless branching, avoiding this mess, but since it exists as a separate UHD disc, I don't think they made two masters, so yeah, you're not getting an extended cut with your UK preorder.
As it stands with the steel mock ups given for UK, the steel is Theatrical 4k and Theatrical bluray bonus disc only. I did mention this in my initial post. "Theatrical version" is written on both the 4k disc mock-up and the bluray.
@paulboland has since added some historical context around them changing the mock ups from 3-disc to 2-disc. I feel this is very telling. However I hold out a glimmer of hope, just because the decision to include Theatrical on 4k and Theatrical on bluray seems really odd.
To confirm there is no mention of extended whatsoever, either pictured (there was previously) or in the description ( @Flloydo recalls there used to be for HMV) for the UK steel. Hope that helps your decision @JinxyKatte
